  • Just sending hugs, Taxi I am in awe of you. (and could kinda kick your kids for doing this now but I won't)

I have no advice, think the letter idea would be good.

    always in my thoughts

DS3....also phoned earlier and has been productive and responsive to my suggestions re sorting his money.I'd suggested to him that we set internet banking up for him so that I can send his rent direct to his landlord before he spends it.The trouble with his benefits is that they come in on different days so he gets confused. He is going to give me his bank card as well so as soon as his rent is paid he'll know what is his to spend. So I'm proud of him for that.

Why don't you set up a basic bank account for spends for him that you fill from the real bank account?

No credit, so once it's empty, it's empty.

If you're connecting it to a laptop, then make sure you've turned the external monitor function on. If it is to a desktop, then make sure you have the right monitor input selected - not all of them go hunting for a signal.
