Don't panic I'm not back asking questions that I don't understand the answers to - (collective sigh of relief heard throughtout techie forum) I'm just back to say the problem (whatever it was) seems to have been solved (althought I don't know how) and I can now get on all the sites without hanging around.
So thanks to everyone that gave me a crash course in computer speak I have no idea what you were talking about and I think I could probably understand brain surgery better than computers, but thanks for all your answers and I'll hopefully be able to stick to the DFW part of the site from now on - and leave all you clever people here.2013 - Finally got the house we' ve worked so hard to get......now it's a life of diy and no money....couldn't be happier 😊
