OP, I know how you feel. I'm still wishing I had Windows 98.
Must admit I quite like 7 (first thing I did was switch to classic view), but I don't know what you all mean about this "snap" thing? I don't think I've got that on mine or haven't noticed it. What is it?:oLove the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -
you have a couple of windows open, both overlapping and not filling the screen, snap, is when you move it to the top of the screen and it automatically maximises it... meaning you need to resize it and be careful not to touch the top of the desktop again0

I remember reading about Aero Snap but have never used it, and indeed can't remember what it's supposed to do or how, as I use all windows maximised and always have done. With the improved layout of the taskbar, everything's just so easy to access compared to XP.0

Not sure if it's on every version, but the following is,
Or, if you have e.g. 2 windows open, click one, then 'Flying Windows' key+right arrow, it moves to RHS of screen, do same but left arrow on the other window and it moves to left of screen.
Much easier than using stack/side by side from notification (clock) area.Move along, nothing to see.0
