I think they should pass it to a DCA who can help you pay in amounts that you can afford.

Would you pay a £9500 bill that wasnt yours?
IMO the most the OP is liable for is however much his credit limit is.

Suggest complaining and escalating to Tom Alexander, Chief Executive Officer via his email address at Tom.Alexander@orange.co.uk.

Good luck and hope it helps,:)

Someone gave him that some time ago. Do you actually bother reading threads or do you just troll them looking for the company name and post the CEO's email address (and even get it wrong sometimes - bskyb CEO details for a company not even affiliated with skyphones.org)?

Because judging by your posts, its the latter 95% of the time.

Great stuff and entertainment could be looming. It seems that we could be having a new Coronation Street episode with Unholyangel and Sirmarcus. I just hope the others join in.

Fingers crossed that I am not mistaken. Laughing already !!

I have reminded the OP of the Orange's CEO email address and also advised the OP of the OFCOM email address ed.richards@ofcom.org.uk, which nobody else had done on this thread.

Not bothered about your opinion or views and so will be consequently ignore you if you choose to respond to this post on this thread. My only interest is helping the OP !:):o:D:D

Ah sorry, didnt realise english isnt your first language. That being said, its not mine either.

Typical childish response though. You may be advising the OP on a contact point for him to try but nowhere have you given advice on how to dispute the matter - ie what he should use as his basis for not being liable for the bill in question.

Yes, writing to a company stating "i got billed £9500 but i didnt do it" is going to give wonderous results..................*rolls eyes*

Yes you're doing a wonderful job of providing email addresses anyone with google can find, but every single thread is the same, you dont even bother to read the thread half the time and give the same (contact email) response every time without even checking to see whether the OP is in fact entitled to anything. Remember, this is "consumer rights" board........not a "lets be greedy sods and demand compensation for something that we dont deserve it for".

No better than conmen IMO. I'd much rather work and earn what i have instead of it being given to me because i'm that much of a sour faced demanding crabbit auld biddy.

Maybe a bit harsh of me but i'm sure theres at least one other poster who understands what i'm saying.

And obviously in this post the OP shouldnt be liable for the full amount, but legally they're liable for any call charges up until they reported it stolen - but that should have cut off when it reached their credit limit. While orange may reduce something out of goodwill, this does not mean it is the customers right - which is the purpose of this topic.

As I hoped, the next episode of Coronation Street has started....

Will Sirmarcus ever return to the thread ?
Will Unholyangel ever make up and be friends with Sirmarcus ?
etc, etc...

I will now just drop out of this thread and let the entertainment continue; fingers crossed. Great entertainment :rotfl::T:T:):):j:j:j:j:beer::beer: and am still laughing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:T:beer::beer:

• Wow, interesting thread. Don't play a flipping penny. Write down every contact you try and make and the time this takes you as it looks like your gonna be in for a fight.

To those who don't like the compensation culture I agree, but in this case I feel you should be requesting payment for suffering. If Orange were doing all they could fair enough, but they are clearly ignoring your communication and failing to use any slight amount of common sense. This is a clear matter of fraud which they should be investigating, not trying to pin on the victim.

Please don't give up. I think we would all like to see a happy ending.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
• Hi,
more news on the bill.
Orange are refusing to budge, they are threatening to hand it over to an external debt collection agency if I dont pay within 7 days or come to an agreement to pay over a number of months!(that would be a big number), they have also said that I do not have a credit limit and it is my responsibility to monitor my usage.
I have replied again stating my financial position and the fact that I am on a DMP with the CCCS, all of my surplus income goes to them.
You would think that they would never have given me a second contract, given that I was on the DMP when I applied for it, and if they did, they would have put a credit limit on it?
I have also contacted watchdog,(no reply yet), and applied to CISAS for them to look at the case.
I don't like the threat of debt collectors though, it's a cheap shot, how much will they sell that debt for?
