  • morning gang - sounds like you are having too much fun already to be doing any flying. I'd join you all for the barcardi but it would probably send me to sleep after one sniff. Might send baby to sleep too though.

I managed about 40 minutes of ironing before we came downstairs this morning, so instead of emptying the airers onto the pile, i ironed all of that plus some off the pile. If i try and do that every morning or two i might beat it back into submission.

last nights washing up is put away, a load has just finished in the WM (ok - i forgot to press go last night - but ho hum) and i fished a portion of stew from the freezer for tea tonight. So all i have left to do today is deal with post, hang up washing, peel some spuds for tea, and take baby for a visit at my parents house as i haven't seen them all in ages.

I'll ignore the rest of the mess. With my tired eyes squinting, it doesn't look too bad! ;)

    Michelle, xx

Your mission for today should you choose to accept it: Scrub down your counter tops, I don't mean to just wipe a rag across them! I mean you get some hot soapy water and you wipe down the counters from front to back and side to side. Yes, you have to move the stuff on the counters to do this. DON'T take everything off at one time and then plan to put it all back again, I promise you will get sidetracked and then you will all email me crying that it is all my fault!! LOL! You just move your toaster (or coffee pot or whatever this is an example here! :>) ) over to one side and wipe down the counter, then move over a foot or so, move aside what is there and wipe down some more and so on. We are not marathon cleaning the kitchen here, just getting all the crumbs and junk that seems to build up behind and under things. Have fun! Don't obsess! Enjoy!

Yes I've finally done it - I've beaten Kelly!!!! Gold star to me cos I did this yesterday:D
    :j

I shall now go lie down in a darkened room until the over-excitement wears off!

  • Hi everyone! :hello:

    Can I join in please?
I work FT and I have mastered the art of shoving things into cupboards so my home appears ok. I try to keep on top of general things but stuff like skirting boards, cupboard cleaning just never get done. I've got my xmas 'nesting' feeling coming on where everything should be spik n span so best make a start.
I'm basing my Flying loosley on FL zones so will try to concentrate my 15 min (out)bursts on the kitchen this week.
Today I'll be working all day then MIL is taking us out for a curry so wont be home until 8.30. My jobs for today when I get home will be:

    At Home
    -Make beds (I'm out first!)
    -Tidy/vac living room
    -Swish/swipe bathroom
    -Bleach loo
-15 min clearing cupboard under the sink
-Sort through paperwork which can be done from work tomorrow and remember to bring to work!
    -Gym
    -tomorrows lunches

    From work today
    -Transfer CC debt
-Boots order back to post office
    -Clothes back to primark
    -Find a plumber!
    -Quick shop at Morrisons?

I'll be pleased if I can manage this lot today.

    Wish me luck!!!
