phone contracts with free laptops/netbooks

Hi. I am looking at getting a new laptop, and my laptop is on it's way out too, which I would really struggle without.

I notice contracts start at £25 a month for the contracts with free laptops, which is how much I am paying already anyway for the same amount of minutes.

Does anybody know much about these deals? Or what the best one is at the moment? Is it just carphone warehouse and phones4u that do them?

It often works out cheaper to buy the phone/contract and 'gift' separately.

I did the carphone/mobiles.co.uk dell deal a year or so ago and the dell inspiron they sent me had 1gb of ram to run vista. Frankly it wasn't fit for purpose !!!

It made like nothing dell I have ever seen b4 although dell deny its sub standard. They have replaced the whole case and now they say the main board is knackered!!

Just buy a decent machine I regret getting a free laptop phone deal.
