I am taking my daughters to Olu Deniz in a couple of weeks and was hoping that my daughter and I will be able to paraglide.
Does anybody know how old do you have to be and how much will it cost approx? She will be just a few days off her 18th birthday.
Also, is there are water park nearby or other trips worth taking?
Many thanks

We're going in October, so I've researched it to death.. Paragliding seems to be about £80 each, but I'll be giving that a miss! The Dalyan mud baths look good, and we're also going to be doing a bit of horse-riding, windsurfing and walking. We've booked some tours with http://www.caroletayfun.com/index_package.aspx and so far they've been very helpful (and cheap.) They come recommended on Tripadvisor, so it looks a good bet.0

I recommend taking the scheduled boat to Butterfly Valley. A pretty pebble beach with good swimming. You can also climb up the side of the valley. It's steep, but there are ropes to help you.0

Hi there, We have just returned from Olu Deniz. Wish we were still there..... Anyway, we done the paragliding and I personally don't think there is an age limit, myself and two 17 year olds and a 19 year old booked for the 11.00 am "flight" we got picked up at our hotel by 11.05 and had an hours journey up the mountain. Most people say the journey up is pretty scary, but we got picked up in little minibus (dolmus) with the pilots. At 12.05 (and no time to think) I was being harnassed up and given a few simple instructions. I took off around 12.10 and landed approx 45 mins later on the promenade at olu deniz. It was absolutely fantastic. This was our fourth visit to this resort and each time we left, we regretted not flying so this time we just had to do it. We loved it and would without hesitation do it again. By the way the cost for each person was £50.
The boat trips from olu deniz are ok, but not as good as they have been in previous years. I'd still recommend the boat trip from Fetiyhe which in my mind was a much nicer day out. But everybody's opinion is different. There is a water park, but fairly small, but ok for a change of scenery. Help Bar on the front has great food, and the bean bags outside of Buzz Bar on the beach at sunset are just sooooo relaxing. My boys did the quad bike safari which they enjoyed.
The teens spent most nights at the bars in Hisaronu which is much more lively (bit too benidorm for me, but hey, I'm not a teenager!!).
All-in-all it is a lovely chilled out resort and can be as cheap/expensive as you want it to be. Enjoy I'm sure you will.
Hope my input helps.0 -
Hope you have a fantastic time. Olu Deniz is a beautiful resort.
I think age 3 was the lower age limit for paragliding! My two boys did it with me when they were aged 10 and 8 and they loved it. Check where you will jump from as there is a charge to jump from the top of the mountain, so some cheaper companies only take you half way up to save paying the charge!
We went with Sky Sports and I can highly recommend them. The gentleman who owns it was very chatty and keen to explain the technical details to me, and was happy to explain the insurance. They were a little more expensive but the detail he told me gave me peace of mind. It's worth also paying for the photo's they take. We've got some fantastic panoramic pictures taken in the air.
We went to Sultan's Aquacity at Calis Beach. Most tour agents in the resort sell that trip. It's a good day out and the food and drinks were reasonable prices.
Have a look at these two sites to give you ideas of other trips in the area:

I would definitely recommend a Turkish bath when you get there. You get put in a sauna till you are nice and sweating, then you get lain on a warm marble slab. You are rubbed all over with an exfoliating mit and you'll be shocked at how much muck comes out of your skin! Then you are covered in bubbles and massaged, before being rinsed off. It's a great experience and you feel fantastic afterwards. It makes your tan last longer too, but take care not to burn your nice new skin! Here I go again on my own....0 -
We did the paragliding when our daughter was 8, it was a fantastic experience and she loved it. I don`t think there is an age limit.0

Thank you all so much for all the information. I was delighted to hear that younger children can paraglide too as my 11 year old would like to do it too, do they go tandem with a, instructor or in three with me too?
Becles, we will certainly be paying for the photos/dvd and I hope I allowed to take my compact camera up too!
We are all really excited now, I think the turkish baths are a must now too!

These look way too cheap to be true?

Becles, can children have turkish baths too? The sound great but I'd have to take my 11 year old with me.
Thanks

We are staying AI at Club Sun City, it has great reviews but our holiday price has gone up £237 in the few days since I booked it, perhaps because of the colapse on Goldtrail?
