Limescale prevention for whole house...

I have asked on here before about limescale but last time was in kettle.
We seem to have really bad limescale in house, kettle needs doing every 2/3 weeks.
Not a problem descaling (except cost) but now am worried about washing machine, boiler, shower etc etc.
Looking to buy something that will descale all of the water coming into the house as soon as it comes into the house.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Found this on the web http://www.emwc.uk.com/Details.asp?ProductID=86
All advice much appreciated!

You should be able to pick one up on eBay a lot cheaper.
There are two main groups of people who have these, one, they don't work at all, and two, they work really well.
Search on google groups for 'electronic water conditioners' that should keep you busy reading for a few days.I love my spell checker, it stops me making all sorts of stupid smelling mistakes. :doh:0 -
Think about it this way - copper is one of the best shielding materials you can use against electromagnetic interference. Cables are wrapped in thin layer of copper foil and you can use them next to TV tubes and around electronic equipment without any problem. Just think how completely insane is idea of low voltage current in plastic coated cable wrapped around 1.5mm copper wall "magnetizing" anything...0

M (the OP) made a big point of thanking many others who offered suggestions. That's good. But the lack of thanks against my suggestions and observations was noted, so I assume they were not viewed kindly. I'm sorry about that, so have deleted them.0

If you don't want to go the water softener route - expensive but will cure your problem 100%.
Look at the Hydroflow HS38 electrolytic water conditioner. IMO, the only decent one on the market - this is from feedback from customers. Liff wrappa is OK but would be my second choice, any other ones are a waste of money.
The Hydroflow has also helped customers with scoriosis. It will work up and downstream.0
