You definitely need to feed courgettes and water a lot once the courgettes start growing. A feed for flowering plants - same sort you would put on tomatoes.

I'm gutted this year as none of my courgettes took, and we lost them when we went away. I have a glut of cucumbers though. I don't think i have been as nurturing this year as last.

Take 5 strawberries and 1 cucumber chop and add to (very large, pint if you have it) glass. add 2-3 ice cubes and add 1/2 glass lemonade and 1/2 glass pimms/voddie/whatever else happen to be at the back of the cupboard.... Enjoy. At least I think thats what I was served ?? Except easy on the lemonade.....

Oh dear...I was supposed to add manure?!?!? Erm...I didn't! But I did put a bit of my compost bin slimey mix in the soil before planting! But all I have is stalky flowers....maybe its the manure thats doing it - I don't even have tiny courgettes yet :(

Let us know how you get on with your beetroot brownies. I have a glut of runner beans.....I wonder how runner bean brownies taste?!?!:D

Definately need manure. Chicken poo is very reasonable (its a brand name). I got mine from Wilkisons.

Hmmm...runner bean brownies. I think that is where I draw the line.

Oh GG...I thought your singing was fab :D
