NTL student?

Well she has at least 12 months in the accommodation she is in at the moment so I'm not too worried about the ntl contract.
One thing that bugs me is the fact that during setting up the connection I had to contact ntl support, I was told at the end of the call that the line was on a free upgrade to 4Mb for the first month. We would have to ring to cancel after this time or be charged an extra £7 per month!
I managed to cancel this with the operator straight away but had to be very firm.0
