If you register with ukcampsite you can go on the rallies/meets. We have been going for the last 3 years with them. Prices are from around £3 per night for the family. We like going to events such as https://www.shackerstonefestival.co.uk and elvaston steam rally as you get entry to the event and upto 3 nights camping for around £24 for the family so is good value.
For kit.....new, https://www.outdoorfocus.co.uk are good on price and service, poudland, aldi, netto and lidl have good offers too; used try freecycle, carboot and local free ads. There are good bargains to be had if you look aroundThe best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
