I have been looking for a Samsung Monte on contract.
Most stores are offering 100 mins and 500 texts for 24 months at £10 each month. That would be £240 at the end of the contract.
I have looked on the Samsung website -(Samsung Mobile Homepage, Scroll down to Samsung Monte, click buy now, click pay monthly and it shows you the deals).Sorry couldn't post link.
The first deal on there offers a £20 a month contract for 18 months. Unlimited texts and 100 mins. It says that line rental is free for 12 months so this would only cost me £120, IF TRUE! In the further details it says "Your £240.00 saving is available by redemption in 5 stages: £48.00 at month 0, £48.00 at month 0, £48.00 at month 6, £48.00 at month 9, £48.00 at month 12".
Is this true, would it only cost me £120 and so this is the better deal, or is this a scam so they will not pay me the £240 in savings?
This would be my first contract so I don't know much about them!
Thanks

Nice, we need a cashback guide stickied. Too many people do not follow the terms of it, and get stung.
Simply put, even though cashback is a separate contract. Consider it as a gift that is not guaranteed. If you cant afford it without it, don't risk getting burned into debt.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Hmmmm... other leg must have fallen off long ago then, since I must have done at least 3 dozen of these for myself and as many for a few other people in the last three years! But I always warn others away from them - unless they're prepared to research thoroughly before and during...0

Put the cashback element aside for a second. The deal of 100 minutes per month and unlimited texts for £20 is pretty poor.
100 minutes is pretty limited and you can bet you will burst that most months and then watch out for the price per minute.0 -
If I put the cashback aside all my deals would be expensive! But then I do force them to cough up at the point of my sword sometimes...0

Yes, but all you control with cashback is the rental portion. Going for 100 minutes in today's environment is liable to incur additional out-of-bundle minutes at their high rates.
I am, of course, second guessing OP's usage but 100 minutes is not a lot.0 -
It's enough when you have several contracts and use each for the benefit provided free. Besides, I always make a profit as well and usually the lower bundles have higher value phones... Also, my own 100 minute contract also provides unlimited access - horses for courses (or, contracts for junkies).0

So what do you think I should do?
What actually happens? Do i pay the 20 every month and I send off a payment confirmation somewhere else?? Thanks0
