You must have had a hell of a lot of debt if paying off most of it left you with £30K outstanding.
So you have racked up another £30Ks worth of debt in three years (including the car) since then?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Tell your parents that if they are wonderful, this is the last thing they should do. It prevents you and OH addressing the issue of how you have mismanaged your finances for the last decade and learning to live within your means.
Would they stuff alcohol down the throat of a alcoholic? Or drugs into the veins of an addict?
All that will hapen is that in 3 years time, you will owe another £30-40K. it just delays the light bulb moment? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

We have spent the money on car loans, not payed off before getting the next car so just increasing the amout we owed all the time, christmas presents, holidays in this country and things like this as far as i can see, Oh is working at the min i work part time due to having a back problem ( not entitled to any benfits) but i try and do over time when available.
You don't need me to tell you this is outrageously stupid behaviour do you?
Are you both equally to blame or is one of you the leader and the other the lead when it comes to making major purchases, you don't need and can't afford, on credit?
ETA: Looks like OH is the leader but OP bears some responsibility for not being up with what was going on.0 -

Is all well and good but the OP doesn't need a pat on the head and to be told it'll all be better in the morning.
They need a good hard shake before they take her parents money and pish it all away like they've done with the rest. That is the best help they can get right now, IMO.0 -
