Plus.NEt have just lowered the price of their 'LITE' 2MB product from
19:99 per month to 14:99 per month, I think the connection is limited to 2GB per month with a charge when you go over the cost.

I've just had a look at this and it seems like they've only reduced the 1mb package? This is of great interest to me as I'm currently with plus net and considering changing.
Please can you let me know if there is a link to where you found you're post.0 -

ditto.
Plus net are one to avoid now.
They are no longer "unlimited" (in the true sense of the word) and have introduced caps (although they refuse to just admit it):

I am with them at the moment, and due to end 12 month contract on the 1st March.
I rang them and said the usual about paying too much at the mo - 512kb 'lite' package £24.99.
He was really helpful and looked at my usage, and I don't use that much, so he offered me 2mb with 3gb max download for £18.00 a month.
Is this good ? If not where else is there better ?** Getting back in the swing of saving again.... **

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/02/16/bt_plusnet/From April, PlusNet will be providing 8Mb from £14.99 a month although this will be subject to availability and usage conditions0 -
So do I wait ? Or do i change to the 2MB for £18.00 but then am I stuck for a year ? or is it easier to go for a £14 package or similar then upgrade from there ? ARRRRRRRR !** Getting back in the swing of saving again.... **

I'd read that article again - "free speed upgrades and a brand new product range" - and have a chat with them; if you sound well-informed who knows? Maybe you can make an agreement for this when it comes. I should think you need to be close to exchange for that speed0

Plus.Net have introducted a Fair Usage policy which I think is more than Fair, all ADSL connections will be at the maximum you rline can support.
The 4MB and 8MB service will be trialled by BT (wonder how I can take part) from April this year I think... The proper service will be avaliable from Septmber 2005..
I have included the new prices for the PLus.NEt services.
Broadband Premier Fair Usage Total "Fair
Usage" Achievable
Product On Peak Levels Inc Off Peak (based on 2Mb)
£21.99 30GB 230GB
£29.99 50GB 250GB
£39.99 75GB 275GB
£49.99 100GB 300GB
£59.99 125GB 325GB
Remeber that OFF-Peek is between 1am & 8am0 -

Andy, I think BT are going to relax the limit's again so that more people can get 1 & 2 MB connections.0 -

Um, Don't know if you guys are deciding to stay with Plus.net, I have a friend who has had some problems with them recently. I myself am with NTLFreedom.com it's part of NTLWorld but they have no usage limits which is great for me as I do a lot of downloading and uploading, they recently reduced prices on certain packages too.0
