I parked my motability car in private free car park at my local cinema. As a disabled driver i parked in disabled bay. By the way have done this for last 4-5 months 2-4 times weekly!!!!

Unfortunately this day i didnt display my disabled badges - 1st time in 12 years.

My tax disc clearly shows disabled vehicle and driver!!!

can i contest this ticket - have taken pics on site of ticket, badge and car

Not working as disabled so cant pay anyway - what happens now. please help!!!

It's not a ticket, it's an unenforceable invoice.

Disable badges and bays have no legal status on private land anyway.

    It's a scam.

    • do not pay
    • do not contact them
    • ignore their threatening junkmail
    • they will give up and go away

You can't contest it as their is no appeals process. It's a private company running a scam, so they'll never allow appeals and turn away cash.

    Relax and don't worry.

Please don't worry about them and the bits of paper you will get later, none of them are at all scary really. They deliberately word them so you will be frightened into paying.

Please dont get stressed out and certainly dont feel terrified, there are 100's if not 1000's that have read these threads and that have successfully ignored these con artists.

All the letters sent to you are designed to intimidate and stress you out thats why so many people fold and pay them.

You are a registered disabled driver and have a BB so you were entitled to park where you were, having said that though BB do not have the same recignition on private property as they do on public highways.
You were also a paying customer of the cinema so again you had right to park in the car park.

And there is loads more you can throw at them if needed but you wont need to.

If you need more reassurance when the next pile of pish comes through the letter box then come back to this thread, we'll all still be here.
You may click thanks if you found my advice useful

    Karen,
Quell your fears. There is no reason at all to fear rapscallions such as these.

thankyou mucklbutt and coblcris - out of respect for you guys im sticking to my guns and refusing to pay them. By the way mucklbutt the cinema has washed their hands and wont be involved.....altho on 1st floor it shows the blue area of car park as free parking they say its up to the car park owners aaargh.

But thanks will be in touch as no doubt this isnt over by any means

Yes just ignore. PPC stands for Private Parking Company. PCN can stand for Penalty Charge Notice if issued by the council or parking Charge Notice if issued by a private parking company on private land.
