I think the further down the bankruptcy line you go you get to 'off load' the feelings of negativity. Now those of you know 'me' know how emotional I was about the whole thing. How being BR took it's toll on me in a way nobody could have forwarned me about but I'm now through it and i do have (whether it is rightly or wrongly to say) an attitude now where 'I'm so over it now, who cares!'

It's good for those going through turmoil right now to know that. It really is good for people to read that 'it' really does get better and BR can become an insignificance in peoples lives.

We shouldn't have to think carefully what we type as not to incite the trolls but unfortunately we do as there's vulnerable people caught up in attacks here.

There's a way of choosing your words not to incite and my choice of 'who cares' maybe very very wrong but it's how I feel now..... shouldn't we be able to 'report' that you really can get to the point where BR is not all consuming?

Fair enough, I know it is an open forum and whether I like it or not is not the point, what I am getting at is the fact that some people look down at BR`s and think we should be gaoled for being so. A troll is one of those such persons, who will come on here and berate us for being BR and accuse us of having no morals.

sounds a bit harsh...but I suppose it will depend on what area the job was involved with?


It amazes me how so much of our society, and daily lives, depends entirely on our ability to acquire credit and repay it?

I mean, what on earth has credit to do with the price of eggs in China?

Yet our 'creditworthiness' seems to govern our entire lives?

40 years ago, I didn't need to have a good credit rating to be an electricity board customer, or have a telephone!

Yet today I do!

It's all about ''control'' really, isn't it?

ok i have just been discharged and i dont look down on anybody either way,i took good out of my bankruptcy am currently working for citizens advice bureau im gonna help people through bankruptcy its not all bad look to the future it does get better,as for the so called trolls you will always get that on any board its just a price us bankrupts have to pay unfortunately:)

It is sad we have to watch our 'p's and q's' here. I now post elsewhere, and can be as honest as I need to be about the whole process without the threat of troll attacks, personally I now don't care about trolls but I did when I was down and vulnerable.

Believe me I have coped with BR with incredible ease, but there are people who come on here and are at their lowest and are quite vulnerable, and if they are unfortunate enough to be the subject of a troll attack, may not have the courage to venture back on here to gain the help that they need. While I commend you on your work for the CAB, I think the help and advice that is available on this forum is every bit as valuable. Some posters come on here as a last resort and they are nearly always pointed to one of the debt charities, the beauty of the site is that it is open all hours whilst the debt charities are not. I know without this site I would not have had a clue what to do about BR, that is why I have stayed around to try and help people who need it and pass on some of the knowledge that I have gained whilst frequenting the forum.

Your words are very true dojoman. I was one of the very sensitive types that relied on this place.

Poor milo though, just expressing that he's over it now. And good on him. Maybe let it go now eh. Milo's right troll attacks are everywhere, the good people here try to avoid inciteful comments. Milo didn't say any untoward in my opinion, his attitude wasn't wrong, just maybe the 'f**k them' at the end... oooooooooooooops lol
