Something smells fishier than a tin of tuna here.
If you all use the same username and password for all laptops and you all use the same wifi connection as you say then what exactly is yours that he used? Your laptop? Nope, it was his. Your password? Nope they all use the same. Your wifi? No you all use works wifi.
Be honest, what have you been upto?0 -

This has been asked and answered. The unauthorised use of the WiFi connection has prompted them to do a full audit of all the laptops.
This is when the issue of the website was discovered.0 -
corbyboy I don't know where this full audit of all laptops came from because i've just reread all the op's posts again and he never mentions a full audit of everyone's laptop's all he says is that his laptop and his alone has been taken
"Yes he used his laptop on the wifi that is asigned to my computer....
hense the reason my laptop was taken... the bb usage for my work station if you will was huge. so they removed my laptop and this is where they found the web history."
It just doesnt make any sense0 -

ok too clear this up.. my laptop was taken because the company thought it was my laptop that was used to download all the data.
it was not my laptop but my work mates that was used so the laptop came up clean, except for the web pages I have stated...
just to add a new twist, I got my letter today calling me in for my meeting. reason given is high internet usage, This has nothing to do with me this was a work mate who commited this act, But he contacted me asking if i had heard any thing, when I said I had had my letter he said he had recived nothing.
So it looks like I have been called in and he has not  and its him who did all the wrong doing0 -

Well, you are in the clear - you can deny the accusation, and you would be telling the truth."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
OP, as you know who it is, then when you go to your meeting just point-out you were off on the day the incident happened, and it was xxx who brought his own laptop in to work and downloaded 15Gb of data with it.
I take it your employers are a very small organisation. They seem to have an abysmally low bb cap.Never Knowingly Understood.
