Missing OSPS claim form - what can I do? OSPS refuse to accept pdf printed out ...

  • Just sent my claim off today using Special Delivery. I did not recieve any claim forms and so I ordered another phone to try and get some more claim forms. They did not send claim forms out with the new phone and when I called for them they said they would send an email containing the claim form.
The email never arrived so I called to return the phone and whilst on the phone the sales person sent me the pdf.

So I have printed out the claim form and filled in, and am fully expecting the claim to be rejected, as nothing is on the computer system to say that they sent me the claim form via email on my original phone. At this point I am going to threaten legal action with a letter giving 14 days notice, and if this is ignored I will initiate proceedings online for £30 as many other people have done in various forums, to get the cashback from this bunch of cowboys.
  • Recently ordered a phone from OSPS and didn't receive cashback form at the time. I rang them and they would send me one by email (PDF). When I read the pdf it said they would only accept the originals. Having read they were slippery customers this sent alarm bells ringing. So I wrote to them to check this out. They replied:

"We understand that our policy is not to accept copied redemption
vouchers. However if we have sent these vouchers to you via email or a
copied voucher via the post we will note your account so that the cash
backs team will authorise your cash back claims. "

So it seems they track your account. Or at least they say they do. Very slippery customers.

Did any of you get a welcome pack. I did not so I phoned them. They said they would email me the cashback vouchers which they did and send me a welcome pack which I have not received. What is in this welcome pack?

Thanks for replying rogerramjet. Afraid I'm still in search of a claim form.

I'm frustrated with OSPS 's tactic in this. They intentionally forgotten to send out the claim form and hoping you forgot about unless you ring them asking for it, so no need to provide the cashback.

Has anyone ordered a contract from OSPS since early October 2006 (that's when I ordered mine) and got a original claim form, not the pdf attachment?

I'm thinking of ordering a new contract and then ask them to send me another copy of claim form. However, if they have started using the pdf method, I guess I will never able to claim my original contract cashback??

    Anyone can confirm this?

    I think it should contain:

    1) an invoice and
    2) another paper giving more details about the cashback details (when and how much each cashback)
    3) claim form.

Apart from 3), that all I get.

I two phones on Monday, which arrived today - one from OSPS and one from e2save.

Both are very similar in terms of the paperwork:

    1) Sales invoice (A5 size)
    2) Detailed schedule showing the tariff/contract term/monthly mins & texts, cashback amount/terms, and various other options (eg. number porting/itemised billing etc) - 2 x A4.
    3)Cashback vouchers and instructions (OSPS= Glossy A4 sheet / e2save = folded brochure/leaflet).

    Hi all,

I am in the same situation. I did not receive a form and it has been over 14 days. So I just called OSPS ready to have a huge argument only to be told that the form has been abolished and is not required for any future claims. She said all I have to send in is copies of the bill. I told her that this is not what it says on the website, but she said its a recent change.

Maybe others should give them a call to find out if they say the same thing.

    I rec this email today
Thank you for your recent email.
The claim periods for the 6 months free virgin sim card are month 3 and 6 from your date of connection.
Our company has made a decision that voucher forms are no longer an obligation for our customers when claiming their cashbacks, however our Cashback Team will greatly appreciate if you choose to write and highlight your transaction or order number on a first page of your network bill as this will enable them to process your claim in an efficient and accurate manner.
I am sorry that this information was not fully explained to yourself when placing your order.
