Go for it everyone, I'm 5 days in, actually dreamt about having a ciggie last night, and am getting rather emotional, but still i'm doing it! Mmmm and I smell nicer! Oh and has anyone else found that when you wake in the morning your mouth feels clean (sure it prob smells to other people but it feels clean compared to smoking days!)
Lil'HRiding out the receession.........0 -
I've been stopped five full days now which I'm very proud about but last night I had the worst nights sleep I've ever had, and I've had some bad ones over the last 18 months. All I could think about when I woke up was driving to the 24 hrs filling station and buying a pack. Just, but only just managed to keep my resolve.
Hope tonight is better or I'll be going up the wall0 -
My appt with the practice nurse is in half an hour!!!!
Going straight to the chemist when i get out!:o
got 9 cigs left........ will start my prescription in the morning.:A
Feel a little nervous, and apprehensive...........Smoked since i was 15, 20 years now!!!! it's gotta stop!
Gotta go, be back later.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE QUIT!:T :T :T :T0 -
Well here i am, prescription bag in hand!
Went to see the nurse who was lovely.
She was asking me all sorts of questions, how many u smoke? How long for? What is the most important thing you can give as your reasons to give up etc... etc...
She said i need plan:rolleyes: , as i go out about 15 times a day for a ciggie!,
ok only in the garden, but she figured i may still need to do that as perhaps the reasons i do is too escape, the house/housework/kids etc.... So the plan is when everything is stressing me out, i go outside with a glass of water, and de-head the roses, tidy up the garden etc...............!
We went on to discuss every single item of nrt, patches, nasal thingy:eek: ,
gum, lozenges.
We plumped for (or she did), an inhalator, a plastic ciggie thing?;)with cartridges. She has given me 84, and said if i use between 4-6 per day will have enough for 2-3 weeks, and then wants to see me again:o
Starting tomorrow...............hope i last (well at least more than the day!)
How you all doing
hugs

Every time you try you're apparently statistically more likely to succeed in giving up.
