I remember a few years back being sat in my living room and seeing cold callers working their way round our close. I was doing something so didn't answer the door when they got to mine. 5 minutes later they were back again....they'd obviously spotted the tv was on and came back, I ignored again to carry on with what I was doing. Another 5 minutes later and the bell goes for a third time...this time I went to the door and opened it, but was still doing what I'd been doing before. Funny how quick a young salesguy retreats when a breastfeeding mother confronts him :rotfl::rotfl:

Arghh. I was hoping for something much sexier and have been looking out of my window for the past 2 days hoping for said girls.

I have a sign on my front door and last week I got a knock at the back door from a salesman from British gas, he went through the usual and I said no thank you and he left.
Anyway my son said to me why has he come round the back because no one ever did before, and I said I didn't know but was secretly wondering myself.
It was only later on a website that I read that six of the big energy suppliers has made a vow not to disturb people if they had a sign on their door saying no cold callers.
Well I thought how will they get round these signs next, I've already had one who said he was dyslexic, the mind boggles.

How convenient. No doubt the next trick these people try to pull will be to convince you that there actually isn't a sign there at all and you're just nuts!

Mother is always too polite to these cold-callers to just close the door and say she's not interested; she answers all of their questions and only tells them she doesn't want whatever they're peddling when the conversation draws to a close. Ah, well.

Also I have a sign from the Police, stating very clearly NO COLD CALLERS OR SALES PERSONS to call.

It also states we do NOT sell or buy from the door and any attempt to do so will result in the information being passed to the Council and Police.

Don't know if all Police forces give the stickers out but ask at your local Police station, they are completely free Well, they are where we are
