Hope someone can help.
If i work 16 hours per week and earn 13,500 per year, would i still be eligible for income support?
I have less that 5k in savings and am a sinle parent living in a home with a hefty mortgage still to pay.
Advice appreciated
Thank you

No. Income support is for single parents who do not work and have children under the age of 70

You can do some work and get Income Support. The hours have to be under 16 and of course it will then depend on your earnings.0

If you work under 16 hours, you will get to keep the first £20 before it affects your IS, then IS will deduct pound for pound after that from your IS.at the moment i get child tax credits because ive not started the job yet. i want to spend as much time at home with my very young baby rather than having to use child care.

If you are earning £13.5K per year then the answer is no.
That is not a shabby wage for 16 hours a week.
