Good morning,
Souk was telling fibsthe weather's rotten again. It dull and damp and looks like rain, too, but then I'm up a hill about four miles from her, so she could be right, knowing the weather up here
Boys are still sleeping, they were up late having a midnight feast of toast and eggs, and watching a movieLittle DS , who has stomach muscles to die for, had a go on the Wiifit yesterday, and is apparently obese! He was not amused, but I explained to him that muscle is heavier than fat, which placated him a bit. I've just realised we haven't updated his height in about a year, and he's grown about five inches :rotfl: so we'll get him to do it again today, wee soul.:) He has become my personal trainer and is doing a nice job of encouraging me to do exercise, even though he says I'm not fat, I'm just stretched from having babies. :rotfl:
The plan for today is to teach the boys to cook something, I'm not sure what yet, possibly curry, and then they can bake something delicious as a treat, too. I also plan on tackling the clothes mountain, I hate doing it, and leave it til last which means it always overwhelms me a bit.I also want to restart the housepainting, its been left on the back burner a wee while, but I want to get the kitchen done and my gorgeous wallpaper up before my new table comes on Friday, so the dust sheets will be out this afternoon after the cooking is done, I expect.
Have a good day everyone, {{{hugs}}} if you need them, and I too have my fingers crossed for Flutteryby.
Lastly, Happy 18th Birthday to JC's big boys, hope they have a fabulous day!:bdaycake:

Morning all.......................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Hester: You know how I feel about what happened yesterday, you need to report it to the police. At the least it was an assult.
Bright morning, but the weather forecast is for rain later. I hope it doesn't rain Friday, I want to change our bed and wash the towels before DD2 gets here.
Quilting this afternoon. I am going to spend time this morning in the garden weeding, despite it being so dry the weeds still grow!!
Once DD2 has returned home, K is going to take the fireplace and side piece out, we can then get the stove moved forward so the chimney can be swept, the pipe to the stove shortened and the stove moved back almost a foot. I will have to strip the sitting room, but it will be a good job done.
Yesterday afternoon I put the gazebo up, if its fone we can eat poutside whilst the family are here without getting fried. OH was surprised how big it was. After years of putting caravan awnings up, that was a doddle.

Thank you JackieG:D
Big boys indeed - they weren't due until August 28th and at 5 weeks early were born 8 minutes apart just in time for Eastenders weighing 5lb and 3lb 14oz - I could fit DS2's body in the palm of my hand. They are now over 6' ! Plans are for them to go and get their haircut and they want to have breakfast in the cafe as a treat and I'll get the step kids to their mums today and then the rest of us are going out for a meal at dinner time which i'm sure will involve them drinking copious amounts of alcohol (just because they can) and probably throwing up the expensive dinner
I have a MS job this morning to do and then the Step-kids are going to their mums til sunday (not sure what she's playing at as that is unheard of!) and then get ready to go out tonight - looking forward to it. Hopefully DS2 will have pulled round enough to enjoy the day and his GF will be over later and be coming out with us.
Hester - Glad your eyes are ok, those things are terrible

Hugs to those who need one and the MIA. Have a lovely day OS or not.
edited to add:
Hester - surely you can make a complaint to the Police? I've not read your blog yet but assume its yet another form of assult against you. You ought to take the school to task over it - unacceptable to be having to deal with it.
Oh and I am terribly excited as my mum bought me a pinny whilst she was on holiday. I've been asking for one for ages and mum was going to make me one but she's bought this as a pressieI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning everyone.
I've just done something rather daft.... I decided it was time I stopped reading all the threads on here, imagining myself as the perfect woman and to actually do something constructive.
Sooooo.... I've just emptied the understairs cupboard.
How many umbrellas? When did I buy those shoes? Can OH really need all those coats? How come there's room for cobwebs amongst all this junk?
Oh joy.Avoiding plastic, palm oil, UPF and Nestlé0 -
Okay, here's what I've discovered so far:
* There is a wall at the back of the cupboard.
* Our 8yo collie does not need her puppy collar.
* There is no need to keep my whippet's coat now she's been dead for more than a year.
* I have enough handbags.
* I have many, many shoes (even after throwing away the really comfortable, smelly pair and the pair that always leave me bleeding).Avoiding plastic, palm oil, UPF and Nestlé0 -
Thank you for the comments about my garden, thats just a small part of it, very pretty though. The view looks a bit different now, on the left back of the picture are 3 snowberry bushes and a Japanese Quince. They have just been allowed to grow without being trimmed at all, I have cut 2 of them down, the third one will come down at the weekend. They are all shooting with new growth from the bottom, so I will be encoraging it to grow and trim it as a hedge. quite a bit of it has grown through next door, I have left that. I will cut it down if they ask me to.
OH has just gone up to help K with a 10 minute job, I will expect him home for lunch......
Egg mayo and salad for supper tonight, I got bananas yesterday, I am going to bake them in the remoska.
Off to have a shower and put some decent clothes on for quilting this PM.....cheers.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning All (just)
Late start for me today, the flight was late last night and didn't get in until 3am, that's Ryanair for you! Left Marrakech last night at about 9pm and it was still 35 degrees, got to Edinburgh at 3am and it was about 14 degrees and pooring down. I only had a wrap with me so was wet and cold! The temperature in Marrakech was in the high forties so meant that a lot of the time was spent at the pool (shame!). I have never had a holiday where I spent time just reading and sitting in the sun (well, shade) and dipping in the pool and I have to say I really enjoyed it, 3 days was fine. The city itself is total madness, everything you think it would be but hotter!
Must go and open the cases in a minute and get showered, have to pick up my new specs at 1.30 and do some shopping! Also remembered that I haven't paid the garage bill yet, called in last week but they hadn't got the bill ready yet. Sometimes it can be months before they give you the bill (the car will need fixing again by then!).
Will catch up with all your news, hope everything is good with you all and the weather is bettter than it is here. XX0
