    Ok, real balances are

CC2 £2845.03 25.9% APR high street Steely sMile card
CC3 £3601.07 20.6% APR pretends to be V.friendly + gives at my expense card
    CC1 £1922.39 21.9% APR bank
    CC4 still looking for balance

    total = £8368.49

Will still apply the same repayment plan as above and divide the total by 48mths

So far then with 3 cards

    £8368.49/48mths or 4yrs = £174.34 per mth = £58.11 per card over 3 cards

Totals look depressingly high and are a result of burying my head in the sand. Which what I always do with CCs. How come I can address so many areas in my life and let this one continue as it has. Time to face up to them at long last. I will never ever get in this state again. Its happened too many times and its going to take so long to get out of this mess that I really won't.

From Jan 2011 payments begin at £58.11 per card over these 1st 3 cards and then have a review in June and see how far I have the totals down.

Just realised the plan won't work as the payments are either just around the minimum level or ot enough

Back to the drawing board then

Tackle the biggest APR first and throw resources at that for 6mths?

    Currently 25.9% APR

CC1 £2845.03 25.9% APR high street Steely sMile card

Try £174 per month repayment plus 3mths council tax payments while there is a payment holiday and 4mths water rates payments for the payment holiday period

    Lets have a look
    £2845.03 Dec 10
    £174 plus £64 extra for 3mths and £22 for 3mths (£260) for 3mths Jan-Mar
April balance should be around £2065.03
Then payments of £174 per mth on this balance = 11mths to pay off

Then use again payment holidays for council tax and water rates (use same amounts as this year)

By Dec 2011 balance should be £229 - split payments in half and pay £115 one month and balance next month to pay off by Jan 2012 and pay off in 1yr

Then Jan 2012 tackle next biggest APR eg V and use same plan again

    £3601 Jan-March £260 per month payments
    Balance in April 2012 = £2821

Then use payments of £174 per mth for 9mths = £1255 Dec balance

    Jan - March 2013 payment holidays = £260x3 = £780 = £475 balance
    April = £174
    May £174
    June balance to pay

Paid off by 2013 2 CC leaving another 2 to pay off by 2015

I will not use the CC during this time and will not accrue any more debt on them

Still can't get them down any quicker than 4 yrs to repay - will see as I go on

To do this I will stop my main outlay of 1) food by rejoining the GC and NSD and 2) my once addressed vice and now restarted of QVC and stop spending on this channel

    I will do this
I need to change this ingrained habit of not addressing this issue
I will do it and I will free myself of this CC debt
I will pay the CC off and close them down with the biggest smile on my face, a feeling of achievement that I've done it

Wish me luck its going to be a long old journey but its one worth doing

On a more carefree note - my super cheap amazon bought shoes arrived and all fit great meaning I have some casual spring summer shoes, 2 new pairs of work and weekend sandal shoes and 2 pairs of delightful going out shoes.

With all the debtbusting going on next year its a good job I bought them now and ready for then!

Thats better back from my longest run in ages - a bit slippy in places but not too bad overall. Ran my 10K route with quite a few walking intervals in the slippy places

Feel better now for some cold fresh air!

I have the biggest smile on my face from that run - in June I hadn't run for 7yrs and was mega unfit and now in Dec I have hit my target of 10K - next step is to run with no breaks - it won't take long to get there and I am buzzing as a result

Bring on the next run I can't wait!

Still thinking over the repayment plan and I feel ready to tackle this debt.

I am planning to sell all gym equipment unused upstairs and channels funds onto repaying CC debt
    • Pilates machine
    • Pilates stand
    • Stepper
    • DVD player
    • Pilates DVD collection
    Other fund ideas
    • Cancel DVD subscription monthly
    • Also sell rocking chair, coffee machine, stainless steel milk jug, coats and clothes and shoes in spare room
    • Split up crafting papers and sell in mini packs
Any selling profits to go onto the repayment plan for the CC

Ok, January 2011 is a big month for me and time to put the plan into action. I've thought it through, its doable, its time to work hard and pay it all back and try and become CC free at long last

Another 10k run last night which was hard work in the icy conditions

Having a couple of days off then hoping for a thaw to get back out over the weekend

12.4miles ran so far this week and very enjoyable too!

    Celebrating my 50th diary post.

Feeling happy overall and looking forward in some dreading kind of way about the repayment plans for next month. I must remember this and start as planned as I'm determined to pay them off.

I'm giving one exercise DVD to a friend a work to help her exercise at home and improve her mood a bit more. We both notice the improvements in our moods when we exercise and enjoy it.

I cannot believe how much I enjoy running and also how I now run for over an hour when I could hardly manage a minute in June - next stop 9 miles probably in March sometime, when I work out how to get there!
