Living room cleaned as per target for today
Also want to put on my list of things to complete this week
My list for this week
Door handle to buy
Sort drainpipe out and either refit/repair/replace
Clear out guttering and fit gutterpillars
Get some wire netting for draincover
Clean behind butcher's block and wipe down unit
I know its a bit boring but this is the place to record my thoughts and start to get things in order - part of the sorting the house out section from above and when I clean the house after work it give me time to think about what I can do at the weekend instead of non stop cleaning and this is the plan for this weekend
I did manage an hours reading for the assignment at work today - wish I could understand it better than I do. This assignment is going to be harder than I expected. Found another paper to read tomorrow, another exciting read I expect! Then its onto the books - hmm can't wait. Just remembered something I would like to recordAlcohol Free Days (AFDs) for 2010 V Drinking Days for 2010Jan 18 AFD V 13 Drinking Days
Feb 26 AFD V 2 Drinking Days
Mar 30 AFD V 1 Drinking Day
Apr 30 AFD V 0 Drinking Days
May 31 AFD V 0 Drinking Days
June 25 AFD V 5 Drinking Days
July 31 AFD V 0 Drinking Days
Aug 30 AFD V 1 Drinking Day
Sept 27 AFD V 3 Drinking days
Total 248 AFD to Sept 2010
Total 25 occasions drank alcohol days to Sept 2010
Thats a whopping 91% of the year alcohol free :j
All with a big thanks to my friends on the giving up/cutting down alcohol thread without whose support, friendship, camaradarie and banter I doubt I would have reached this stage let alone realised how much better I feel without a bottle or 2 of wine at the weekend.
It took almost 2yrs to reach this point and at times I doubted I would ever really consider not drinking seriously. It took other people showing me they could live happily without alcohol at whatever point they came from - daily drinking, rock bottom to over indulging at the weekend to help me realise it could be done. That you can be happy experiencing your feelings as they are with not one thing to mask them and you can be happy living life without drinking and cracking the wine open at wine o' clock every Fri/Sat/Sun
When I've had a drink the last couple of months I can strongly feel it and its not particularly nice. Funny how ingrained this habit is even after some big breaks this year. Guess not that surprising after I've trained myself to enjoy it for about 20yrs
Getting there and much better than last year and definately better than before thatfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Had a nice chat today with some colleagues about not drinking and one felt the same as me how much it affected her when she had a drink and how bad she felt the next day
We were all low amount drinkers - not on my own there then!
Tiring day at work, need to motivate myself to do todays list as seriously CBA and just feel like going to sleep insteadfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

This week didn't go exactly to plan
Managed the jewellery wearing and a smattering of make up - no one pointed anything out so was all in my mind about people saying anything. Think it must be to do with me wanting to blend in without anyone noticing and now I wouldn't mind if anyone noticed
Maybe this week went better than I thought then, its not all about the cleaning afterall!
Have completed 3 x5k runs this week with another one planned for tomorrow making it 9miles so far and aiming for 12miles in total this week. No weight loss, in fact had put everything back on I had lost, hoping its the different set of scales I used (fingers crossed!)
Caught up on some cleaning today leaving tomorrow free for the new door fitting.
Have a ton of reading to do and can't get my head into focus about it yet
Next week I'm aiming for
Clean a room a day (one week might actually achieve this)
Restart back on Gateway to 8K programme 3-4 times a week
Read all articles for Thursday
Continue with jewellery and make up daily
Introduce a new item of clothing into usual work wear from the loads I don't usually wear
Take measurements and record
Keep a happy and smiley attitude and forget the crotchetiness of the end of last week
Feel the love and light of life
Should be fine there thenfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
little update
Running again - only managed once last week for 3.5 miles and forced myself out yesterday to finish the first week of G28K training plan
Will be going back out again tomorrow
Had a nice realisation when I realised how far I'd come in using up my toiletries stash. I can soon get rid of a storage unit in the bathroom as it won't be needed anymore!
My course if piling on the reading and my motivation is low. Really need to make more of a start than I have done so far. Have some ideas for the assignment at last which is a relief.
Right off to do an hours reading nowfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Ploughing on with the assigment due in shortly and now over 1/3 of the way there now
What else have I been upto
Looked back at the posts from last month - saw the GP and got a referral for my eczema which is playing up again after a week off and then a previous flare up so hopefully this can get sorted out again over the next few months
Had a week off running due to a nasty virus and my knee also starting hurting so am resting this for now
In between pretending to study I am well on with the Christmas preps and only have 3 small presents left to buy, have a large stash of presents to collect at the weekend ordered on the M+S offer for 50% off which has come in at a excellently low price. Meaning will have some gifts ready for birthday and mother's day next year!
Have been busy preserving and selling so have some nice funds coming in now for this plus managed to get the LR nice and warm again using radiator foils and selling the chair and footstool that blocked it. Got a good price for them and now the LR is toasty for the first time in a long time!
Have booked a camping holiday for next year too and really pleased I've done this as it makes sure I get a holiday instead of putting it off and I can plan for it in plenty of time.
Started to think about saving for the car tax due end Feb and also the gas bill due around then too. Think I will put some money away for this now and see if I can do it each week to ease this a bit for next year
All ready for winter now - still need 3 new tyres and am getting these shortly then ready!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
