Excited today - have booked my holiday so I really am going now! Great stuff nearly upto date with finances for the month and holiday deposit paid, bills paid so now only MOT and tyres to pay for an all sorted for this month. Nice MSE holiday planned with plenty of time to save up. Have nearly everything already to take, will keep my eye out for some nice sandals and see if I can pick a pair up out of season cheaply! Can't wait!

Having 2 nights out for the next 2 Fridays which is unusual for me and I'm planning not to drink on either of them and take the car - I finally feel strong enough to do this at last. Looking forward to them which also makes a change too as I usually duck out of these or cave in and drink. Determined never to have another hang over again!

I'm thinking of baking a leaving cake for a colleague who's leaving next week (first night out) except will probably have to make 2 as so many people work in the office!

Only written another 200 words but getting there and have tidied up the rest of the assignment to read better. Keep thinking why did I sign up to this, oh yes I remember I wanted a challenge and it could be a tiny b road out of my current role and lead to a new one

    Must remember this

And don't leave it until the last minute for the next one in 6 weeks time!

Forgot to mention MSE wise I counted up my £2 coins today and have acculmulated £40 quite quickly! will be keeping going and see if I can amass half the car tax money or even save it for holiday money. Have nearly filled the 20p jar too. Think I'll count the 50ps and see whats in there too

Then write it down in my notebook to keep a record and watch it add up!

Slipped off the AF wagon this month. just totted the days up on the AF thread and looks life a shocking 22 AFD for the month which is the lowest since last Jan. Had an AF Sat night first one all month and forgot how much I a) didn't miss it and b) better I feel this morning!

How quickly I forgot this is a bit shocking to me now. Looks like I was slipping back into regular drinking again when all year it had been hardly anything. Maybe this is my year to do the preparatory work before I pack it in for good and stop having this endless debate with myself over drinking

Feel less confident about the essay now its submitted. Don't think its critical enough and I'm not certain it will pass. If it doesn't then I know what to improve for the resit.

Have done some slightly MSE shopping for a couple of academic study books on the Marketplace and got an older version of one for 99p. Ok its an old version but not that much will have changed in this area and as I'm starting from scratch in this area its worth a punt!

Having a restful evening trying not to feel guilty not studying as I told myself Iwouldn't be studying tonight. Will be for the rest of the week to not get in the same frantic state as for the last one. 5 weeks until the next deadline then 6 weeks until the exam then the same again and then slightly less for the final one this year. It's a full on first year on a PT course, I might not have even attempted this if I truly realised what it involved!

Right then better log off and crack on with tidying up the mass of paperwork littering the downstairs and put it all away in order ready for the next lot of studying

**note to self** remember start now and you won't feel as underprepared and short of time next time around as you did this time

forgot to mention I rejoined the AF challenge for Dec to help me feel a bit more focused in remaining AF. Don't enjoy drinking that much at all these days but its funny how habits can resurface even when you're not that bothered in the first place

Feeling tired after getting up at 5am so far this week to make sure I get into work. Snowed so heabily today we were allowed to leave early for the staff who lived furthest away at first. Took an age to get home in dreadful conditions and I was glad when I got home, only to find the snow had followed me home and promptly depositied some more for a few hours

Weather has scuppered a few plans eg night out, new tyres needed and visit home to mum who is snowed in good and proper

Still if it clears up a bit this weekend I can finally get some new tyres fitted then I will feel better and safer

Really need to have a think about how to get the CC down and start to pay off chunks instead of leaving them, I will feel so happy with this achievment when I start to do this as it will be a massive change in my thinking and behaviour

2 new tyres fitted after 2 visits to the garage after there deliveries were affected by the weather.

Still need one more which wasn't delivered so will be getting it fitted tomorrow and then will check the only other one that is not changed and plan for the expense of that. The spare is ok as its one that was one the car and has been shuffled around from the front onto the spare

Usual suspects off work for transport problems for most of this week - and there was me getting up at 5.30am to leave at 6.50 to arrive at 8.50 by public transport. Not really complaining as at least I got there safe and sound and home again too. Much better than many other journeys that have gone on around the country. Mind you work was non stop for everyone who was in there and we all deserve a rest!

Looking forward to a nice lazy weekend pottering about and some studying too. Need to catch up with the cleaning, get the tyre fitted, read some of the book that has been recalled to the library next week then have a think about Christmas and what still needs doing.

Very cold again tonight, it took my breath away this morning when I stepped out of thehouse. Bizarrely my cutprice sandals arrived today for next summer. Bargainous prices courtesy of Amazon costing under £10 for all pairs. Nice!

Must pay attention to this again when the seasons change as I'll need a couple of pairs of new boots for next year. I think my rocket dogs will get hammered this winter. The grip is great on these and thank goodness I got them otherwise would have been a bit stuck this week!
