Not a NSD today as paid the council tax today and called into B+Q to stock up on more 5for4 growbags offer and a few more pots for £17 all in

Rest of the week will definately be NSDs and I have everything in I need

After my training course today I came home to plant up the 3 rose bushes not done yesterday, the last lot of potatoes in 2 more bags and now have 6 bags - who knows if I'll get any though!

Have a few left over I think I'll give away to someone who wants them as I have plenty now all planted out

At the weekend will plant a few more seeds - flowers I think.

As for tonight - tea and course reading required so off I go!

Thought I'd better update the snowball calculator for Apr

So far paid an extra £120 to CC1 and usual min repayments to all others with one more due later in the month.

Paid off in April £569.33 meaning total paid off for 2011 is £2424/£5000

Halfway to the target for 2011 to pay off and looks like my year target will be more than £5000 :j

Felt a bit disheartened this month with the CC repayment plan as so many outgoings with the physio payment and all the rest but when I logged on to look at the balance it cheered me up and I took the plunge to pay off another £100.

Some money will reappear in my account with the physio money and dentist money and when that reappears I'll pay off a bit more

Hey ho keep plugging away and I'll get there one day and be CC free!

Need to stay strong - wait for QVC return payments for the 2 dresses, wait for dental repayment of £45.60

Stay strong and stick to GC budget and stick to NSD target or exceed it.

Stay strong and stay on budget and the DFD gets closer and the first CC is paid off on target or even sooner

Don't get too disheartened at times, it's natural to feel like this at times but the reward is worth the effort many times over and imagine how great this will feel.
Remember to make the remaining overpayment before the end of the month to help get there sooner

Doh! Forgot about a savings a/c I set up for a holiday fund for next year at £35 pm for 12mths matures in March 2012 and thought I had to transfer money monthly then after doing that for this month then check and have a SO set up so another £35 extra added in

    £35 x 12 = £420
    add extra £35 = £455

Other savings pot is £365 in 365 due to mature on 31st Dec

Total for savings £820 (greenhouse and holiday fund) for Jan-Mar 2012

If I stick to this I will definitely be doing this again as a fairly painfree way of saving some money for a change and having some money to spend on a holiday for a change. Can't wait and it will be cash instead of CC as it always used to be in the old days when everything got whacked onto the CC

  • NSD 6 today

I think everyday in April has been a 'spend day' for me. You are very controlled with your spending - I need to be more so :D. Well done, oh and great news about the savings!

Physio yesterday and despite feeling a little downhearted about how painful and slow progress it was - a nice surpirse when my muscles feel so much better and almost back to normal! Yipee!! Should only need another 2 sessions at the most now if continues to progress like this - phew!

Bought myself a new bike helmut on offer for £9.99 when I compared it to all other brands it fit as well and the guy in the shop said they all had to be sold as safe so talked myself out of the £26.99 one and got the £9.99 one instead which fitted just as well.

Then yesterday bought some lunch as had physio after work and didn't get in until late so ate lunch salad for tea. Today GC shop for £12.31 - still on target

Also a couple of pack of container carrot seeds will plant tomorrow

Feeling much happier about things now I know the muscles are getting better so now I've done my weekly shop today before work I'm going on my bike in the morning to see how I get on!

Song and band of the week - a happy reminder of years ago. Totally forgot how much I loved this band, completely forgot about them, pushed out of my mind and stumbled back across them completely by accident last week when reading a Guardian article online about songs and there it was after all these years. Love the words and the music

and this one for the sheer beauty of the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apOr03ZSB2E&feature=related

Not that I'm sad or broken hearted because I'm not at all!

Dental repayment form sent off for £45.60 return to me - should be in next week which is great stuff. Refund received from QVC for £30 for one dress and next one will be in next week

So today spent a great few hours with the ex for a coffee, a good chat and then a drink of tea and pop at mine. Really nice to spend that time together

Off walking tomorrow for the day and taking half of the bottom of the fridge pizza I made for tea - v.nice and chucked on plenty of things that needed using up.

Most of the house has been flown around apart from the kitchen, ironing and the floors that need mopping. All washing done and dried on the line - yeah for the great weather today! Here's hoping tomorrow is as good then after walking tomorrow its time to crack on with the reading for the assignment - boo!
