  • Best of luck with the gym and remember to take it steady at first then you get there instead of pushing too hard and not going back. Don't worry about how much you do at first - your body needs time to adapt to taking some exercise if its not used to it plus fast walking is also great for exercise too!

    Went this afternoon, 2nd time since induction :D

    Did 10 min steady cycling, some arm pressy things, some arm pully down things and some leg lifty things finished off with 15 minutes reasonably fast walking. All the weight things I'm doing on really low weight / high reps as I don't want to look like Mrs Universe - just toned. My calves were really feeling the walking :):) I'm hpoing that it'll start to feel easier as the weeks go on...

    Glad Mothers Day was good, and that you had fun. Laughter is a great tonic....
    I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...

    Oh well still no more cleaning done as planned

    Made a ham pie for tea with leftovers and getting a little fed up of eating ham now! Pie nice though with lots of veg

    NSD 4 achieved - a close thing after I nearly caved into a cornflake bun at lunchtime however stayed strong and managed a NSD!

    Its time to say goodbye to a few colleagues tomorrow as I move back to the office full time for the first time since 2004 and I can't believe I've been at this place for 6 and a half years now. I'll pop back in next Friday to say goodbye properly and take in a cake or some buns for them as tomorrow will be busy training up my colleague to take over. I'll miss it but when the decision was made I knew it was time to concentrate on my new role and get that up and running properly.

    Tomorrow is physio day so a spend day also posting some clothing returns which I'm not classing out of my budget as they're going back so lesson learned - 2 dresses looked rubbish and frumpy looking and I also need some petrol ready for day out with mum on Friday

    Ok a little cleaning done today with some more to do tomorrow

    Physio today which was the usual ouch! Looks like will need 6 sessions as 3/6 now and still not that much improvement. Anyway decided to pick my bike up from my mums as this is non impact exercise and could be good for loosening up the muscle in that area.

    Will get it tomorrow when we return home from out day out. Looks like tomorrow will be another glorious day some more washing to do to get dry tomorrow!

    Woo hoo last day at work this week and off tomorrow plus can say goodbye to the other workplace in 2 weeks time and will take in some goodies to day ta-ta!

    Great afternoon today, in fact a great weekend day today!

    Planted out 4 currant bushes (2 I forgot about that were in the back on their side over winter - whoops!) and found 2 gooseberry bushes I also forgot!
    Planted lots of seeds and 3 pots of potatoes

    Tomorrow is beans and pea planting, rose bushes, clematis, put finished bulbs into garden for next year, pot up gooseberry bushes, empty pots out and sweep up and if time plant some flower seeds!

    No reading for exam tomorrow as I'm going to take advantage of this great weather and get the plants on the go and then tackle some reading big style next week

    Also aiming for a NSD tomorrow

    Change pots now stand at
    £2 = £64
    50p = £21
    20p = £44

    Total = £129 - holiday money coming along nicely

    Bedroom, living room and spare room all cleaned and sparkly

    SPC £20 contribution finally made and balance now is £80 - on target

    Still need to pay a bill, then see if I have any spare to pay on the CC

    Next is the bathroom and kitchen then clean the outdoor windows downstairs and then have a rest before a gardening afternoon

    Kitchen and bathroom cleaned this morning
    All downstairs windows washed outside and front door
    Garden all swept and tidied including most of last years pots emptied
    Planted out 2 x gooseberry bushes, 2 clematis, soaked 3 roses for planting tomorrow, 3 more lots of potatoes, more salad leaves and some flower seeds. Then onto beans and peas - dwarf beans, borlotti beans, mangetout and a successive peas sowing

    Very pleased with how much I have done in the garden meaning just some weeding left to do and the roses to plant out.

    Also all washing dried lovely on the line, with another load to go out tomorrow

    Back aching and very tender from physio so haven't been out on the bike yet - might try a little run out first thing in the morning before the rush hour

    Then back to work and the routine - can't wait until Easter for a break! Will try and keep up with the cleaning a bit better next week again
