I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. Please move or remove it if necessary.
My local S.S.P.C.A. centre have just started to collect stamps and I am determined to help. A couple of years ago they nearly had to shut down because money was so tight, but thanks to the support of local people, they are still managing to carry on with a much needed and worthwhile job. The S.S.P.C.A receives no government or lottery funding and rely solely on donations. If you have any used postage stamps, it would be gratefully appreciated if you could sent them to:
Ayr Animal Welfare Centre
Millview
No.4 Holding
Mainholm
Ayr
KA6 5HD
or you could donate them to your local animal welfare centre if they are collecting them

Hiya Alison
not sure if theres any animal centres near me who are collecting, so im more than happy to send mine here, they'd only go in the bin otherwise, and its a very worthwhile cause.
I've also typed out a request and copied it to put up in my kids schools and local shops, ive got a few more that i'll pop up while im out and about, lets hope they get loads of em sentNobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

We have loads of stamps stocked up at work wondering what to do with them. An envelope full will be winging its way to the SSPCA next week. Thanks for the info.0

Hi rushnowt & Bossyboots,
Thank you both so much for helping, I am really grateful. It is a great cause and is desperately needed.
It seems wrong that they get no funding at all and have to constantly struggle to do their job, so once again thanks
All the best,

We've been saving them, too.
Our dentist was collecting, to give to another charity, but as he's no longer around, I'll sort them out for you.
Silly Q, though... what do they do with them???? I always rub the Queens head off, whenever I try to get the franking mark out!!

Hi vansboy,
It seems they can sell them to collectors. They collect them in bulk and take them to Glasgow. I don't suppose they can be worth much, which is why they have to collect masses of them before it's worth travelling the 30 miles to sell them.

Thank you to those who have offered help
Are there any others out there who would be willing to save their stamps for a good cause
