Chair covers were one of the things I wanted but didn't need, we didn't end up having them and it still looked great, trust me you won't notice on the day.0

Well, I was talking specifically to the two ladies above my post. But yes, I don't see why not!

i think they definately add more of a wedding & elegant feel. Despite what the other posts are saying, people do notice and comment on them, it adds co-ordination to your wedding and most importantly looks lovely in your photos, otherwise in ur pics they will look very plain & dull. I think they really transform a room0

Depends on the room and the chairs.....ours were a deep red velvet with gold that coordinated perfectly with the room's decor and complemented our colours so I didn't waste £s on unnecessary material.
Oh, and I don't recall anyone commenting, either to me, my brothers, SiLs or BiLs or my friends.
And why would you want photos of your chairs in your wedding album?!0 -
I think they look lovely in an empty room. Once it's full of people, with jackets and cardigans on the backs, often you can't see them at all. I don't think many wedding layouts need the chairs to be the focus; plain seems fine to me. Otherwise what's the point of all the table decorations?! They are nice and I understand why many people have them, but seriously, who goes to a wedding and comments on chair covers?! I've never done that or seen anyone doing that....
If money is limited, it's an easy cut to make. After all, having a great wedding you can afford is the most important thing. A picture of some 'elegant' chairs, IMO, isn't!:happyhear0
