think it depends on your budget and the state of the chairs in your venue
i am going to have them- but need to shop around have seen them to hire from £2.50-£3.50 a chairIs a married woman!! 23rd July 2011 Best day of my life!

To be honest, i'm not sure peoplw would even notice them anyway, my wedding colours are black and ivory, and just think of having black organza bows on the back of the chairs but not sure how that would look0

Can't you try some black and ivory organza bows on the back of a chair and see what it looks like? (i'm thinking you could use a length of black AND a length of ivory organza together) - if it looks ok, you can look at how to get the best deal - either by hiring them, or buying the organza by the roll and maybe selling them afterwards!?Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! I'd only go for them if you really like them (or if the chairs at the venue are not acceptable). Luckily for us, our venue chairs are perfect in terms of colour and excellent quality too. Personally I'm not a fan of the chair covers and sashes but that's only personal taste so if you think they're worth it for you then go for it. Alternatively, think of what other things you could spend the money on!0

If the venue were not providing them, included in the package, I wouldn't bother myself. No one will comment on the chairs, covered or not!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

depends on the person went to a wedding and it lacked chair covers and i just felt it didn't look smart but it was a cheap wedding.
we are hiring ours for £2.25 set up

Our venue isn't really a big room so we're just having table runners, I think if there is too much going on then the room will appear even smaller.
The organza idea is a good one, we went to a wedding fair in Manchester and they had organza wrapped around the chairs and tied at the back and had it in two colours too. It looked really nice0 -

I have these good ideas sometimes...!! I do think that people can get a bit caught up with what everyone else is having sometimes, rather than what they actually want.
The organza tied together does look lovely - I think that Black organza on its' own would be lost - and that would be a waste of money, but tied together with the ivory would look lovely, and would just tie everything in together.
BUT.......do your venue chairs need dressing?? or is it an expense that you can do without??Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
my venue chairs were blue and my colours did not suit them which is why i opted for chair covers. most require 25-50% deposit and then balance payable four weeks before but they also want a retainer although most companies will return this.
there were two companies i liased with. the one that worked out slightly cheaper was further away and only cheaper cos of lower retainer as i had to add fuel costs. i thin it was £225 +£50 and other was ££235 + £100
This was for 100 chairs in a london venue.
I missed the deadline on booking the cheaper one as bookings are not confirmed until deposit paid (this is standard from what i gathered) and they did offer to send me the covers for me to put on myself but for logistical resons, i would not have time to do so so i spent the extra.
if you want details on either company, let me know and i can pm you. i did read testimonials from places other than the site of company so hope it will all work out but honestly, if i didn't feel it necessary to complete the look i was after, i would not bother and i did have to work out if it was affordable or not in the grand scheme of things. i was lucky to have the money available so i could but there are so many moe important things that you can spend money on.Proud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0
