I am going to wait till I get a response to my questions re method of payment, collection of keys etc and take it from there. I will keep you updated, quite fancy a bit of detective work, takes me back to my days as a DHSS fraud officer!! I seem to have a nose for it, last night I had an inkling all was not as it seemed.;)

You have one website stating that the villa is not available, and another stating that it is. That is hardly evidence of a crime. Why on earth do you think the police would be interested?

Are you sure its exactly the same villa? The name may only indicate the development, and they may be using a stick photo of a villa on the development, (unless there are internal shots which would be far more sepcific) I too think it would be a good idea to see what the ebayer says, but dont pay, then contact the owner via the other website, if their property is being advertised on ebay and they know nothing about it, im sure they would be pleased you alerted them.

..the plot thickens then, but possibly still room for a logical explanation. Otherwise if it is a scam, (if thats confirmed by the real owner) report to ebay!

Has the seller got anythig else for sale? That may indicate if theres something odd going on.

No. that was my first thought, bt they are offering the rest of July, all Aug and Sept. The villa is actally booked solid throgh to Oct.

Just had another email asking for bank transfer! and then they want me to scan the bank receipt and forward it to them by email, and then they will send the details. So, I have just asked for all the name and account details. Watch this space!!
