  • Do you have to purchase a £2 parking ticket from the ticket booths then go back to your car.

I think it is a bit of a cheek they are now charging for parking!

In other words would it be easier to buy the £2 parking ticket online beforehand?

Also preferred parking, is it worth it for £6? Thanks very much.

Yes it's a rip off after paying a fortune to get in

You can buy your parking ticket any time of the day. It's just a barrier pass for the exit so no you don't need to go back to your car to display it. We bought ours just as we were leaving. Not sure about preferred parking, we just went in the normal car park and didn't find it a problem, only a 5 min walk to the entrance.
  • If you plan to go to a lot of places, or live nearby, then the merlin annual pass is a great option IMO.

Just purchased 3 premium passes (family bundle) for £340 but that gives 12 months access to lots of theme parks and at most of them, free parking.

So it's going to pay for itself very quickly.

We're lucky in that Legoland is not that far from us so I suppose it will depend on circumstance.

You can also get the premium parking for £14 a year if you're an annual pass holder so you can park right next to the door.
