T-Mobile £10/month, 300 minutes+texts+unlimited internet
Options
I'm a fairly heavy mobile internet user but make relatively few calls/texts, so I'm currently using T-Mobile's £10/month sim-only plan that includes 100 minutes, 100 texts and unlimited internet. Seems like a good deal, and it's only a month-long contract.
i've just had a text from them advertising a 12-month contract version of the same plan that would give me 300 minutes and 300 texts and unlimited internet, still for £10/month. This might be good for me as I occasionally hit the 100 minute mark in a month, so I'm considering it.
However, I went on their site and I can't find any mention of this tariff. So is this a new tariff, or a 'secret' tariff? Has anybody else been offered it? Should I ring up and ask for it? Is there a catch? (Edit: aside from the obvious 12-month lock-in)
Any help appreciated, still new to the whole contract thing.

Hi there
This sounds like an "existing customer" tariff and it sounds like a fair price to me. Ask yourself these questions:
1. How long have I had my sim with t-mobile?
2. Do I intend to swap to another network?
3. Do I need the additional minutes/texts?
If you answer "more than 12 months", "No" and "Yes", then accept the offer. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
r u getting any free handset with it?0

No, I'm on a sim-only contract anyway. Tempted to go for it, but still a bit worried about being stuck with T-Mobile.0

If not then i beleive its not a good deal so far, Me and my friend was offered better deal,,
600 minutes + 500 text + free flexible booster ( unlimited text,landline,internet,t-t or any choice can be changed every 30days after)
£10 , 12 months no handset..
Original price is £15 for 12 months, but new or existing customer can get this deal if you say that my friend got similar deal for tenner..0 -
Interesting - will ask about that when I ring...0

Thanks for the advice guys.
Rang them and asked what I could get. 300 minutes was the limit. A bit worried about 12 months with them but 100 minutes has been a little bit limiting and I don't want to end up going over and getting a massive bill and having to post a rant on here

Sorry to drag up an old post but I was offered the £10 for 300 mins+texts+Internet AND a free HTC wildfire as an upgrade. Sold the phone on Ebay for £200, contract cost me £120 for the year, that's all my phone bills paid for and £80 profit. Oh, I had another contract up for renewal as well so took the same deal even though I don't use that number too often, well it would be rude not to.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Unlimited Internet t&c from their web site"*Internet on your phone comes with a fair use policy of 1GB a month. We’ll monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that we can protect our network for all our customers. If you use more than your fair use policy amount, we won’t charge you any more, but we may restrict how you can use your booster, depending on how often you go over your amount and by how much. If you remove your booster and then use internet on your phone you’ll automatically be charged our daily rate, see t-mobile.co.uk."
Be aware. Unlimited has a special meaning when it comes to networks that differs from the Oxford English dictionary
( But T-mobile are actually more generous than Voda and O2 on their "fair use")0
