photographer prices

Hi all
I have found a really nice photographer- Action Wedding
I am going to ring them today to see if I can meet them this week to look at their albums etc
The problem is the cost of the- £900 for the day- not very MSE! But I really like what I have seen on their website and facebook.
I am going to try and get the price down- but what do you think they could go down to?- I would like £500 really- could budget for £600- but don’t want to go more than this
Am I being unrealistic?

Thanks x

I'd say unrealistic, sorry, all day coverage with an album, £900 is in the right ball park.
Also bearing in mind that you are booking a Saturday, in prime season, a year in advance ..... I wouldn't drop my fee by almost half !(I have not looked at the photographer in question, this is totally IMHO)

However, you dont get if you dont ask !!!

Meeting them first is the best way, as you say, you should make sure you can 'work it' with them before even considering the products and price.
Let us know how you get on

Agree with Ian - it's not outrageous. Make sure you ask how long after the wedding you see proofs and then get the photos/album/book. There have been some nightmare stories on this and other forums lightly of people waiting for a year after their weddings to get their final photobooks etc. Crazy!!

i got my photographer for £900 this was down from £1270 , £100 was a discount for booking within a week of the wedding fair she was at. The rest was me picking what i wanted from her list and asking for it all at £900! She agreed after some negotiation. For my £900 i get her from me getting ready to first dance, i get a cd with all my images and also an artemis photobook.
I would suggest asking the photographer if you can negotiate :)
would love to win an ipad!
