Excellent, that seems a bit clearer. The seller isn't going to be able to do that as they won't have anything that is trackable so I basically just need to be quick off the mark on 2nd August. That seems much more rosy :) Thanks.

Just maybe be mindful of any recorded delivery coming your way in the next week, it hasn't been unheard of for unscrupulous sellers to send out a piece of paper via recorded and use that as tracking.

Hahaha, recieved a letter from them today from their 'fraud and theft department'.

'' Due to royal mail making radical changes to the way in which they nhandle claims for missing parcels, we must first ask you to check and sign the enclosed form. Please then pop the form back to us in the SAE enclosed and we will commence a claim against the carrier used''

They then go on to explain that by doing this, royal mail will get in touch with me 'to ensure that the parcel still hasn't appeared and that I'm not making a false claim' then once all this information has been checked within a few weeks, royal mail will forward a cheque to them which they will pass onto me via a refund.

'It is necessary to prevent fraudulent claims against us and our carriers'

Hmmmm....these changes haven't been implemented have they? Besides even if I was making a fraudulent claim, sending this form back and then waiting a few weeks for RM to contact me and still say it hasn't arrived isn't going to stop a fraudulent claim is it?

    Weird.....

I would be inclined to ignore this seller. I know you have two cases open, but as long as one is escalated (the PP one) then the seller will need to add tracking. Nothing else will do.

Thanks :) Just seems like they're very reluctantant to refund me until they have the money from RM doesn't it, when it doesn't work like that (well from the info I've gained off here anyway). It's a bit late for me to stop cases such as that anyway and whilst I'm not 100% with this process yet, I'd take a wild guess that closing both of those cases leaves me vulnerable for losing out regardless. Best to stick with it.

Damn, PP have closed the case as the ebay one has been opened. Do you think it's worth me calling ebay to chase this? I mean, I have no idea what happens next with the ebay one. The seller has replied but it was nothing that indicates what they are going to and it seems like the case is in limbo. I just want my money or an alternative item back.
