Mine was £900 when it was current season, (2008).

Found it elsewhere on the net, one place were selling it for £450 and another for £600, but I got mine for £179.99 on eBay, and it's genuine, brand new and with the tags still on it!

I got mine for £100 on EBay, with a matching tiara, then resold it for £60.

My outfit has cost me ALL-IN £100 :j

Fully steel boned brocade designed corset, ice blue and white
Large white puffy wedding style skirt
Tiara with silver leaves and light blue stones
    White faux fur stole
    Silver pump style shoes
Silver heard necklace that I got from OH for birthday
Silver earrings that I already have

    Sorted :T

Can I ask where you found the corset? That sounds amazingly cheap for steel boning and I want one!
    You whole outfit sounds lovely!

I'm getting mine for £850 from a bridal shop - can't wait to see it!
  • I have budgeted £1000 but am hoping to bring it in abit less. I will spend a little bit over though if it is THE ONE
  • I just paid £88 for a Maggie Sottero dress second hand from ebay. :D:D

The one I got is white details on a white gown

I offered the seller £25 for postage as she didn't offer it as an option in the auction.
  • mine is £245 and its almost exactly the same as the alfred angelo dream in colour dress that costs megabucks
(big old splash of cadburys purple up the back)

infact, my dress and 4 bridesmaids dresses are going to cost me under £550
  • I managed to get mine on sale from £800 down to £540 and it is the complete opposite to what I thought I would choose. Have had a couple of wobbles over it - but now really pleased with it.
With the tiara and shoes I expect the total outfit to cost about £700.

Mine was £1400 but I got it for £1175. Alterations are £45. Veil was £60 but my aunt paid. Combs for my hair were £88, again aunt paid. Necklace was £5 from e bay, bracelet I already own, shoes £120. hubby and I had a falling out over the cost of it, so i told him to stick it and I paid for it myself :p like yours he is repentant now and offered to help pay recently but I refused. It's really sad when the dress is something that is more important than other stuff, and you don't want to compromise on it, but they just don't get it. Every bride deserves to have the outfit of her dreams on her wedding day, whether that be a big dress with a forty foot train or a white velour tracksuit.

I would call around all hte Maggie stockists in your area, find out if they stock that one, even if they don't they can still order it for you, and ask them how much they can let you have it for and play them off against each other :money:
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

I got my dress yesterday - it is actually a bridesmaids dress and I got it for £100 as the detachable straps were missing - then the lass at the counter spoke to the manager and he took the straps off another and gave me it for £100 instead of £120! Very impressed! I was desperate for red and I saw it and it looks perfect! It may need some alterations nearer the time but I have a friend who has offered to do them!
