For the girls who got Monsoon dresses in the Sale / outlets - were they current season?
I've got my eye on "Isabelle" but am waiting for it to hit the sales...

mine was £1468 with discount but alterations will be about £100-£150

I'd have been happy with 2nd hand but it was new season and no one was selling and i wasn't risking a last minute job.

I was looking at getting a similar dress made cheaper using milly but had a sudden windfall which h2b insisted i use on the dress. (usually a tightwad so i didn't wit around for him to change his mind. lol)

I agree that you can prob find it second hand. if you pay cash, many outlets offer a discount so find teh cheapest one you can and then offer cash for extra money off. Or even make an offer. these are hard times and if you had money available, they might be wiling to move with you. samples can be cheaper. alternatively, keep your eyes peeled on ebay/preloved/sellmywedingdress etc.

    good luck.

Oh I forgot to say that my alterations are actually being done by dress maker who does external work for the said bridal shop (It's not what you know it's who :rotfl: ) and will cost approx £150

I had the same issue, totally fell in love with a £1500 dress :-(

But, I found two reputable bridal shops in the USA who are authorised sellers, and bought mine for £777 when the exchange rate was low...

I think they sell yours too, for £784.30. Mine arrived in February (very nervous about buying on the net), but it was perfect! The two places I looked were Jays Bridal https://www.jaysbridal.net (you have to register, but its free) and Princess Bridal Gowns, I don't think Princess stocks that dress (who I ordered from in the end), but Jays Bridal do. The only thing to be wary of is that I had to pay tax when it came into the country, but I don;t know how much it was as my poor mum was having it delivered to her house and she ended up paying it!

    Good luck in your search!
