  • Mine's a Candy Anthony and I paid £1100 which included the dress (handmade in the uk to my measurements), petticoats, sash, headdress with veil and matching cravat and hanky set for my boyfriend. I got 10% off cos I ordered it when they had their January sale.

I shall never ever tell my boyfiriend how much my dress cost!

Is the price the actual price of the dress or is that including any discounts that you have negotiaged?

I only ask as my dress is also a Maggie but I managed to haggle £250 off the price tag on the dress.

It's still way over my initial budget but makes my dream dress more affordable :D

I got married on Saturday and my dress was £1400 and my entire outfit was probably a few hundred more, once the veil, tiara, gloves and alterations were taken into account.

I guess it depends on how much wriggle room there is in your budget. Some things were a bit less and some a bit more - I think that I came slightly under in the end. I'm trying to work out what to do with the dress now. I guess I need find somewhere to have it cleaned and restored, it just seems a bit silly to have such an expensive dress sit in my wardrobe for the rest of my life.

im lucky when i got my dress (250quid) i also got the vail and hoop. so ony need underwear. and my friend is borrowing me her tiara as myself something borrowed.
i know its our dream day, but i could not justifty spending over a grand on a dress which you wear for a day and then like KatharineMMA says- it goes in your wardrobe
there are so many ways to get a cheaper dress- ebay, sales, bridal shop sales.

I have a maggie and it cost 785, which i haggled it down to. My friend rang around every bridal shop in her area, and played them off against each other until she got the cheapest price.
