Hi everyone - I'd love some chickens too and we have a nice big garden, but we back on to woods where foxes live so just can't risk it. :(

My allotment plot backs onto a wildlife reserve and we have foxes, birds of pray...but we also have a electric fence and energises whihc is suitable to deflect foxes, and it works...other people have lost foxes but not us!!

    Morning all!
Had a lovely (but very hot!) holiday in Turkey (thankfully with Thomson not the company that went bust!). But now I'm fat, skint and have 6 weeks off before I go back to school in Sept.

We had a 9 hour delay on the way back (all night in the airport, lovely!) and then I had to jump straight in the car and drive to South Wales to rescue the dog from the kennels (and my mum's dog) and drive all the way home again - about 8 hours driving in total yesterday. Mum is now on hols and so I have two furries to look after this week -dogs were only in prison for 1 night so not too bad for them.

Today's list (trying to get into a routine like Fay)....
    • Do 2 loads of washing (did one yesterday) and line dry - one done, nowhere to dry the second so hanging on
    • Checked banking  (does anyone else have a Lloyds online account -its all changed) still hasn't changed!
    • Walk dogs - done 1 already now 2
    • Go food shopping with a list (not written yet) and a £10 off a £50 voucher from Mr S - spent £80 but did a mega shop and now we are well and truly stocked up!
    • Post Amazon book sale - done
    • Do car tax - only £20:T
    • Post new contract for job back - I queried whether they could start me off further up the scale and they did - works out to about £100 take home pay a month more:j - will drop it off tmw instead
    • Sort through bills and post received whilst away
    • Get OH to mend hoover - miraculously done!
    • Clean through the house done
    • Get boiler repair sorted - now we're back I don't want to rely on the immersion for hot water:o
    • Take library books back done
    • Weigh myself ready to start diet tomorrow when OH goes back to work - its bad news - diet starts now!
    • Go through budget again to see if I can economise anywhere - doubt it but will try anyway (don't get paid until 10th Aug -seems a long way away) will phone mobile people and look at PPI tmw
    • Investigate whether we can claim anything for delays etc - doesn't look hopeful
That's all for now - have a good day.

Getting there for today - making yummy salad and red onion quiche for tea, have to do a meal plan for the next 2 weeks to make sure that I don't waste anything I've bought - the freezer, fridge and cupboards are bursting so will have to be organised with what we eat and when.

Am trying to muster the energy and inclination to wash the kitchen floor..........

    Today I have

    - Taken Lunch and Breakfast to work, still bought a coffee which has made me feel sick so I won't bother with dinner.

    - Pennies in the Jar, I think might save this for summer 2011 holiday, as I want to go to Italy we alomost have enough airmiles for free flights, maybe we could use this for car hire and then just book a villa.

    - Daily cards
    - May get to the Gym if Tesco Man hurries up if not tomorrow.
    - Check weather and maybe do some washing if is going to be good.
