Monday 19th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

I've got hens as well, they don't take up too much room, - a couple fit in the size of a rabbit hutch

Cats not great with hens unless they are cooped (the hens not the chickens).
Redsam they aren't hard work at all, in fact I'd say they are the easiest, most productive 'pets' I've ever had.
I know they are great and entertaining too...certainly have thier own personalities! Our friends have chooks in the garden and 2 alsatians (cant spell) the chooks and dogs get on great...the chooks have even tried to steel the dogs bones!
Jo-Rouke if all else fails...Hugh Fernlywhittingstall has links to Landshare on his website and there is a group on Facebook i think. You could grow cut and come again salad leave on your kitchen or bathroom windowsill in a pot.been away for a while..need to get on financial track! debts.....Post Grad Student Loan, Northern Rock Loan, Egg CC, Halifax CC, A&L CC, A&L overdraftAllotment plot holder since Feb 2008 :j0 -
Not going out today, so no spend day.
HM quiche for supper, made the case yesterday, filling going in shortly, bacon, cheese and mushroom. with a green salad and a jacket potato for OH, just salad for me.
Tomorrow will be a spend day, I need to get groceries from Tesco and Aldi........visitors coming at the weekend, have to make a carrot cake for them; think I will also do some fairy cakes, I think they call them cup cakes now, might also do a sponge cake, I have some hm strawberry jam, no cream though.
if you have a local fruit/veg shop why not get some cheap courgettes and make your sponge cake or cupcakes with grated courgetttes - lowers the fat content and keeps them moist, several recipes on the net.been away for a while..need to get on financial track! debts.....Post Grad Student Loan, Northern Rock Loan, Egg CC, Halifax CC, A&L CC, A&L overdraftAllotment plot holder since Feb 2008 :j0 -

well I have found out my CC interest rates and which one i need to overpay 1st, but then had crappy email from work - who are being deliberately annoying (thats me being polite!)
I am again having my stress palpitations about my debts and want to cry, my blood is boiling

Oh Redsam, how rotten (and rude) of them - don't they know it's a Monday and nasty emails should just not be sent on a Monday?? (Or any other day of the week come to think of it) I am sending nasty thoughts their way and lovely thoughts your way :grouphug:LBM 04/05/10 :T DEBT FREE 30/07/10 :j I made it!CHALLENGES: 0 bought lunches June or July

Hi everyone - I'd love some chickens too and we have a nice big garden, but we back on to woods where foxes live so just can't risk it.

DFW-wise today I:
1) Went to work
2) All meals from stores.
3) Bought B a much needed new mattress from Homebase - for £15.02. :eek:What a billy bargain, couldn't believe my eyes!
4) Freecycled our old trampoline for good karma.
5) Received my Approved Food order, but I haven't unpacked it yet as I need to make room.
6) Actually received Piggypoints for a purchase I made and have enough points for a voucher! Have cashed my points in for a Waterstones voucher for my Christmas stash.
7) Worked out my expenditure til the end of the month. A bit tight as I have had to pay for T's holiday childcare upfront, rather than weekly as I had expected.
8) Off to the park in a mo for free fun.
Looking forward to a G&T and Rev on the TV tonight,
See you tomorrow, L x0 -
Hi ~ reading through this thread 'scratch accounts' are mentioned. I don't know what that phrase means, could someone in the know advise?
