Monday 19th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Good morning everyone, hope you all had lovely weekends;)
Slept in a bit today - I didn't get to sleep until about 2am so bleary eyed now and am off shopping with my sis.....coffee galore needed:D
I have my dd1 back from Germany and DD2 had a fab time seeing JLS on Friday - busy children. Last week of term....hooray, this time next week I'll be in bed:rotfl:
Ok, time for my list:

Morning all!
Had a lovely (but very hot!) holiday in Turkey (thankfully with Thomson not the company that went bust!). But now I'm fat, skint and have 6 weeks off before I go back to school in Sept.
We had a 9 hour delay on the way back (all night in the airport, lovely!) and then I had to jump straight in the car and drive to South Wales to rescue the dog from the kennels (and my mum's dog) and drive all the way home again - about 8 hours driving in total yesterday. Mum is now on hols and so I have two furries to look after this week -dogs were only in prison for 1 night so not too bad for them.
Today's list (trying to get into a routine like Fay)....- Do 2 loads of washing (did one yesterday) and line dry
- Checked banking  (does anyone else have a Lloyds online account -its all changed)
- Walk dogs - done 1 already
- Go food shopping with a list (not written yet) and a £10 off a £50 voucher from Mr S
- Post Amazon book sale
- Do car tax - only £20:T
- Post new contract for job back - I queried whether they could start me off further up the scale and they did - works out to about £100 take home pay a month more:j
- Sort through bills and post received whilst away
- Get OH to mend hoover
- Clean through the house
- Get boiler repair sorted - now we're back I don't want to rely on the immersion for hot water:o
- Take library books back
- Weigh myself ready to start diet tomorrow when OH goes back to work
- Go through budget again to see if I can economise anywhere - doubt it but will try anyway (don't get paid until 10th Aug -seems a long way away)
- Investigate whether we can claim anything for delays etc
