Hi there! This is the Old Style Daily Thread for Mon 19thJuly. 2010. It is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
[*]As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
[*]When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.
[*]Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just fine
Morning all!
I am surprised noone has started the daily thread already!
It's a lovely day here so will make the most of it & get as much washing done as possible!
Baby was awake at 0520 today!
My SiL is in labour so am waiting for news!
Today is kitchen day on flylady so shall do that today. Also must make a start on sorting out my bedroon drawers. They are horrendous!
Only 4 days at school this week & then they are done for about 7 weeks! DD will start year 6. I don't know where the time has gone.
Dinners will be if-it's for a while. We are going away this w/e for a friends wedding & then a week Sat are off on our holidays so I don't want to get too much shopping in.
Right, baby needs a nappy change & then it'll be time to get the older 2 up.
(((hugs))) for those in need.
Have a good day all
Lisa x

Morning Mrs MH and all to follow,
Beautiful day here :j, need to get my eiderdown out on the line, I sprayed it with fabreeze yesterday, and it smells much better, but to strongly of that now, needs another airing.
Bought another Lloyd looom laundry basket yesterday at the boot sale for £3 :T this one needs more work, but will be a nice project for me once everything else is done :rotfl:, we started to fill the cracks in the ceiling of the spare room yesterday, and all the paint has to come off, don't know why I am supprised really, I should have known it, so I will spend most of the day doing that.
I also need to do a bit of gardening, and tidy through downstairs, dinner tonight will be pork chops, mash for the others with veg. I also need to wash dd's bedding and get that on the line.
I will weigh myself this morning, hopefully have lost a bit more.
Hope you all have good days, and Tappers the new pup is beautiful :T0 -

Dry and very overcast here, but wind has dropped. Have got a load on washing line and will put another in shortly.
Had a lovely night away in our new caravan, it's really lovely and spent time gettin used to how everything works before we go away this weekend for our main holiday.
Did manage to get some baking done Sat morning whilst OH at work, have menu planned for this week, tonight we will be having chicken, new potatoes, veg and gravy - will be trying to get all fresh food finished before we go away. Will also try to do a big bake-up of bits to take with us.
Have to get ready for work now.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Dinner is chicken and noodles (again)! Will pop to Aldi on the way home to investigate the Super 6 and see what's on it this week. Off tomorrow again so can potter and get jobs done then.
For now have good days all and XXX Lisa, a new niece how exciting. I'll be thinking of you today XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Morning
DS1 is on a weeks holiday but has just got up to take DS2 to his new job and I've packed his lunch up and I've packed myself some salad and a couple of slices of bread to make a sandwich at lunchtime.
Had a very expensive weekend as I have had to layout for all the MSing I've done so the bank account is a bit  but money will start coming in from tomorrow/wednesday so not too bad.
I'm working today and tomorrow then off again so I better get on with in
Dinner will be sausage or toad in the hole with mash and beans. DH will do him and the kids sandwiches for lunch.
DD is currently eating a huge strawberry wrapped up in a piece of toast!
Enjoy your day xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Mrongin!!!!!!!!!!
Well it's a ,miserable windy cold day, what a lovely start of rain groan.
Anyways, Yesterday got enough salad stuff for the week i hope, the boys are at school today, so all pack lunches including OH's is done and dusted.
Mine don't finish till Wednesday, but they off that day as they going away for weekish with they gran.
going to snips (DS2's) sport at 1:15pm today so that should be fun.
Had a surprising weekend, done my knee in again, through sheer stubbornness, i was determined to climb the castle steps. No way was it going to beat me, well i'm feeling the burn now ouch.
Got a surpise text off my estranged sister, she apologised for her behaviour so we kissed and made up on sunday. This is a shock as she contacted me first something which has done before in her life.
Oops better drop the sprogs off at school, have a day all x0 -
Morning All
Where is everybody?!
Had a lovely weekend - DH and I had the house to ourselves! Consider me motivated! I want my own space again!!!!! I don't want to sound ungrateful as it's very generous of my parents to allow us to live with them, and we hardly see each other but it was so nice to able to flop on the sofa and have a kip without having to think of others
DH and I went out shopping on Saturday and I bought some new saucepans (I chucked my old ones out when we moved as the non-stick stuff was peeling off  and they were only cheapies to start with). Got a really good deal on some proper Circulon ones so they're off to storage whilst we continue to build up the funds. We're going to buy something we need every month so that there's not a massive outlay when we finally move.
Anyway, am back on the OS bandwagon and we both have leftover sausage casserole for our lunches today. Tea tonight is going to be grilled salmon, HM potato salad (new recipe - will let you know how it turns out!) and roasted veg. I will then use the leftover veg and make some sort of cous cous salad for our lunches tomorrow. See thinking ahead and everything
Hope everyone is ok, hugs to all in need/want xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,
What you've been out there searching for forever is in your hands0 -
Morning all...............................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Its a bright morning, so the WM is on with a mixed coloured load. I usually seperate it out into dark and light, but not enough of either to make a load, there is a breeze so it should dry ok.
OH ended up in bed twice yesterday, got up for his supper and then had to go back again. Drives me crazy, but not much I can do about it....we see the consultant again next week.
Quiche and salad for supper tonight........
Monday clean, I have to give the guest room an extra polish ready for its occupants, the sewing room is now a bed room.......
I found some old patterns on the internet one is for socks on two needles, I need to source some sock wool and have a go, thats if I can remember where I put the knitting needles!!!
Tomorrow I am going shopping to Tesco and Aldi, I have a £6 off a £40 shop for Tesco, have to sort out my shopping list. I re-boiled the strawberry jam that did not set yesterday, I had 12 jars, now I have 8!! I have marmalade to make, might do that on Wednesday. I use Marmade, they used to do a thick cut but I have not seen any of it recently....they seem to have stopped making it.
