Someone has recommended I come on here for a boot up the butt!!!. My house is a mess and I dont know where to start. Ive recently been diagnosed with depression after walking out of a violent and controlled marriage and needless to say after years of someone else pulling the strings I am finding it hard to get motivated. When I was married my house was always spotless (it had to be otherwise the consequences werent very nice) I feel like im rebelling but im just being a lazy cow. Can you lovely ladies help me get my life (and home) back please?
Here's your tree :xmastree:so you get noticed.
JoJo - Well done on your OU course. You are an inspiration to me.
GunsandBanjos - Hope you had a lovely holiday. It's taken me a few days to get back on the lists as I'm still in rosy-eyed holiday mode.
Anyone for HHC at 11?0 -

Actually some of it may be rebellion and by the sound of it hardly surprising, but what you do now is for you so that you have a home you are comfortable in.
Here is a :xmastree: so toots our official meeter and greeter(or whoever is trying to sub for her) will see you.0 -

did my 2 HHC. My kitchen is done, apart from mopping the floor. I'll do that just before the school run.
welcome to the new people! Take it easy, don't rush into it. I've finished my kitchen cos I've been flying for a while now. x
I still have my bedroom drawers to sort. Yuk.
Am currently watching The Bold & The Beautiful while the baby is asleep & decluttering a packet of cheddars!

Ok back to the grindstone, baby number 4 arrived on her due date (28th May). We have done some sorting and decorating since so house not too bad, but need to get back into a regular routine again so going to try flying again.
Good luck with the new one pigpen, my little one managed perfect timing she came at lunch time on the friday before half term, so had time between initial contractions to get kids off to school and toddler to mums, before setting off to hospital. Then a whole week off before launching into the school run with a baby in toe lol.
Emptied dryer and wacked another lot on as looks too cloudy to risk outdoors at mo (already rained twice this morning). WM already on and done the shopping this morning and put it all away.
Here's my tree in case I've slipped off the list (should have as baby is 6 wks old)

Still clearing up the aftermath of yesterday's lunch - DW emptied and reloaded. Cleaning cloths hanging on the line. Kitchen drawers rearranged to accommodate extra cutlery I've acquired. Laundry sorted by CBA to put it on (might wait till I've been for a walk or run later today anyway). Nail polish removed. Team conference call done... Just trying to get rid of the remnants of a migraine so I can concentrate on work.
Kitchen isn't too bad as I did it pretty thoroughly in preparation for guests, so should be able to get it all done relatively easily later on. Hob is a bit sticky as I poached apricots for lunch, and as always, they overflowedbut they were delicious
Welcome to all the newbies, and thanks to flylady central command for the hard work.0 -
Morning Everyone
Thanks to the team for the thread again3 weeks into this now and it really has motivated me to get my house out of chaos and back to order. Its so nice opening a newly decluttered cupboard and feel smug
Had a short day today which is nice so have a bit of time to do my list although some of it will be classed as work flying I guess
So today I need to:
Quick wash and dry of the ebay items sold at the weekend
Send above items
Send cheque sitting on my desk
Sort some stuff out for my marketing man
Go through emails and declutter
Send one birthday card and deliver another
Clean patio doors inside
Declutter drawers in the dining room
Tidy kitchen
Hoover down
Ok that will do for now I think
Thanks again

I have emptied, cleaned and binned the rubbish from all my wall units in the kitchen:T 2 bin bags full of crap and gibble from 7 cupboards:eek: That is a disgrace:o They have been cleaned and only stuff that i need has been replaced. I do however now have a sore neck/shoulders so going to have a wee break and maybe a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea.
Thanks mumto5, we had a fab holiday. Went with my hubby and daughter and my parents. Weather was beautiful, if a little too hot for DD, perfect for me though, i like the sun:D It was 30 in the shade! Hope you had a lovely holiday too:)The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
