    Suggestion for a quick start.

    Get three bin bags.

Pick up item of clothing. Is it spotlessly clean and ready to be put away? If yes, place it in pile to be taken up immediately this job is done. If not,

put it in bag A if it's lights & whites washing
put it in bag B if it's darks
put it in bag C if it's stained and has not come out in the wash on the two previous attempts/has a huge tear in it/brings back memories of the KH ex/doesn't quite fit perfectly/you don't really like it/is going to sit there waiting three months for you to repair it and still get pushed to the bottom of the pile. He can't decide what you do anymore - if you can't be doing with sorting it out, luzz it.

Repeat until one bag is full.

Go and deal with that one bag - put it in the wash or bin as appropriate.

Repeat until you do not need to call yourself Wishee-Washee any longer.

It may not be particularly moneysaving, but there is no law that says you must keep everything. If you are surrounded by orphan socks, grey undies and stained T-shirts, chuck 'em and use the money you would have spent trying to wash and repair them in buying a whole new load of them. I suggest getting multiple pairs of things in the same colour, as it makes finding a sock's brother a much easier process.

It's also a rather cathartic experience.

At some point, I would also direct you to any chipped, cracked or bad memory crockery and a disposal method involving a very strong box and a good throwing arm.

Thanks for that suggestion, I am just decluttering a coffee and then I am going to get cracking on the washing pile. Today is the day I stop with all the crap from my past life and today is the day of a new me. Just for a personal reminder I have taken some photos and should the urge arise for me to be a bone idle lazy slob them I shall just have to have a quick peak!!!

Thanks everyone not felt this liberated in over 17 years!!!!

    ALL DONE! :D

I've also done 3 loads of washing. Some of that is also already ironed! I should have a halo!

I became an auntie again as well! My SiL gave birth to a baby girl! :D :T I will have to go shopping & buy her something. I only have 1 girl. Baby girl clothes are so much nicer than boy clothes! IMO!

The caravan is here :D just need to pack it now  Will start on that later. Was warm when we had finished parking it up, 31 degrees according to the car

Went to Mr M's with 2 coupons, one fo me one for Mum. I must have looked like an alcoholic chocaholic who likes flowers :rotfl: 2 bottles of whiskey, crate of lager, 3 bottles of wine, 4 boxes of chocs and 5 lots of flowers!!!!!!

Most will be distributed over the next 24 hours to various people for birthdays and as thank yous for the past year.

School run now and on our return more sorting etc.

Shall be ringing a couple of flymates this evening with a well earned bottle of stella tortoise in my hand :D

:T:T:T:T:T Yay! Go you! It took me 20 years to get the h3ll out - but when KH started "helping" me to get down the stairs rather faster than I liked iyswim, I finally had my lightbulb moment.:o

I couldn't bring myself to just bin perfectly serviceable stuff, so anything with bad memories attached went to the RSPCA shop.

I'm just having a time-out before the final leg of today's list. Looks like the extras are going to get done after all.:j:j:j

List updated, parrots consumed so I'm feeling a little better, but I'm dripping after cleaning the floors!

Off to do school run. Easy dinner tonight, I made some yummy pasta sauce, so I'm going to add it to fried off pork mince, & serve it with pasta and courgettes.

Are bras and knickers supposed to match  I wear white bra under light tops, black bra under dark. I have many and varied colours of knickers, but none of them grey :p

Crap day at work - someone's complained about something really petty *roll eyes smilie* but it involves us in lots of paperwork, and makes me :( Luckily my boss is an :A and says it's not my fault :) ETA - post 111 - highly unlucky. Not my day, is it?

I shall be on holiday as of tomorrow :j
