So sorry to hear about your dog Onestep. I had to have my dog (best pal) put to sleep several years ago and know it is a nightmare. I cried for days. Hugs to you.

Have to go to Doncaster tomorrow night to do a presentation on Friday. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in the area? The client we're seeing is just outside the city, to the west, and we don't really want to be more than an hour away... oh... and work are paying
As we finish just in time to hit rush hour back, we're hoping to get a couple of hours of walking in somewhere nearby too.0 -

Piggers... -.-
You know fluid buildup and sparkly lights means your blood pressure is getting too high. Don't you DARE tell us different. I'll bet 50p that protein will show up as +/++ if you were to see a MW.
Why not at least get a community MW to do a dipstick test & take your BP?
You know I worked in Gynae...and I have had to deal with Dads suddenly finding themselves minus a wife AND a baby son because this kind of thing tends to go bang in the middle of the night.
So at least being checked there or by your GP (they'll have dipstick thingies and BP monitors, although less likely to have the tools to listen to Squeak's heartbeat)
What would the brood do without you?
[tapping foot quite annoyed now]

It could have something to do with the fact that I munched half the box of fruit gums this afternoon....oops ....well they are just little and you keep dipping in dont you, dont you??
so to keep myself busy I have pruned the post 2 list!

Evening all,
Pigpen I agree with what everyone else has said. I had pre-eclampsia with my first, no headache or rib pain, just swelling & visual disturbances. I had the 'it isn't serious, it won't happen to me' syndrome. I ended up being rushed to hospital, an emergency section at 29 weeks, a two week stay in hospital for me & a six week stay for DS. PLEASE get a check-up!

Love to all...0 -

Horrors Jojo! - what a KH indeed!
G&B - I'm loving Newton..
Hex - re the chickens, they are expert at finding every little mole and blemish when I let them free range in the kitchen and play with them .... they will peck!
Piggers - sounds like you should get thee hence to a midwifery PDQ and get those grossly swollen extremities looked at...
Onestep - huge hugs and sympathy re Old Dog
Mooloo - hope you feel better soon
Greenbee - Clumber Park Hotel immediately sprang to mind for some obscure reason - I stayed there a few years ago on business.....can't remember how far away from Doncaster it is though...
Oh - and more Chinooks flew overhead this evening in the direction of the marine base at Poole. There is clearly a large exercise going on...
Toots - put the bag on the floor and step away from those fruit gums... that way you get to eat cake!
Thank you for your get well wishes, I'm feeling a lot better today but have taken it easy - just a little bit of Dysoning and gentle tidying and no wooziness at all, though to brush my hair is v painful on one side of my head. Interestingly, the painful area seems to be spreading but I guess that's just the bruising coming out.
Off to get dinner outI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Evening, coming out of lurksville!
Pigpen please get yourself off to see someone, it really doesn't sound right!
Greenbee I have not been to it but I think the Moat House Hotel in Doncaster is nice. Or the Jury's Inn in Sheffield.
Soappie I live at the edge of Salisbury Plain and there were loads of helicopters today, I thought one was going to land on my house it was so low! I think they said they are having a big exercise getting ready for Afghanistan.
Thats it from me, back to lurksville. Hugs to all that need it!
Oh, flying: 3 times wm and s&s kitchen!0
