I ended up using Wakefield carpets but did consider Hammond Hill. Unfortunately, I wanted 4 different carpet types and HH didn't do all the ones I had chosen.

Wakefield carpets were a bit slow getting back to me and the delivery arrived at the end the day that I had taken off work to receive them, but the correct carpets were delivered. I'm having them fitted as I write.
  • Ive used them, the delivery method means that your carpets can kink and therefor dont fit as well as carpets from a retailer. But they are cheaper
  • Not sure what's meant by delivery method. Ours came in a van and were fine.

    Hi all,
am really interested in buying a Cormar Carpet but all the prices seem to be substantially higher than people paid on here. E.g. someone paid just over £13 for Cormar Home Counties, but the cheapest I can find it now is £18.30. Quite a price difference!!!
Have carpet prices really risen by that much in the last 18 months???
    Any help much appreciated!

Yes, unfortunately the RRP has gone up significantly, and probably hence pushing up the best prices. £16.95 at Clarkes.

Many thanks for the reply lesley.
It's actually worse than that - it says £16.95, but if you click on all the colours the price is actually £18.30 for all of them!!!

Is there a shortage of sheep or something??? Gutted that I won't be able to get a Cormar as it puts it out of my price range.

Really not sure why the price has gone up. I'm sure there are as many sheep now as there were 2 years ago when I bought it. Are you carpeting a whole house? If so it might still be worth calling and asking for a discount. Or if you just need one carpet maybe somewhere will have a 'roll end'. We're very happy with the quality, and it hasn't got dirty at all, considering it's quite light (Italian Stone). See what you mean about the price when you click on it. If the lower price is within budget why not call and ask them to match it? It's £17.99 in ebay which is slightly cheaper. Seller is called diamondfloorsdirect. They'll be paying ebay fees and paypal fees though, so perhaps you could fine them and come to a better price? Good luck. :)

http://www.diamondfloors.co.uk/carpets.php easy. They quote at least 30% off RRP on cormar. RRP is £23 according to Clarke's. That makes it £16.10 including vat I reckon.

  • Hi you might want to take a look at ulovecarpets.co.uk they have primo delight at £13.29 cheapest you will find anywhere. They do all of the Cormar carpet ranges. Have checked out a lot of sites and shops but these are the cheapest. Also they give you great advise as well. was on the phone to them for over an hour lol :T asking all sorts of questions, and what they didnt know they found out and emailed me the answers. Really happy with them and they have got customers feedback through a 3rd party company called ekomi which i liked. in fact in the end after a lot of searching i bought ther Cormar sensations from them. Only £16.99sqm but then got a voucher off them for a furthewr 5% off. Just ask them and they should give it you. I think you just need to like them on Facebook to get it. PS they even sent me out free samples pf the carpets to see them before i bought any.
