Internet banking: How sad are you?

Just realised I forgot Coventry, took a bit of getting used to as it was only the second I used after 2.5 years with Natwest but good too. Similar to Natwest in features, I prefer Natwest's colors but other than that excellent. If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.

Well, I would probably check my internet banking every day at least once. Sad, yes. Paranoid, oh definitely. But I'm in complete control of my money and I know where everything is going and when.
Halifax/Bank of Scotland: ok, nothing to get excited about. HATE the way it seems to log you out after about 5 seconds of inactivity (I know, it's just good security and it is about 5 minutes, but it seems like 5 seconds - not even long enough to reconcile a page of a statement sometimes on MS Money!) Don't like having to phone them about things, would much rather they had a secure messaging service (think that's been introduced from memory, but now that I don't have an account with them, it could be in now)
A&L - same as above, don't like having to phone them and would rather send them online messages to do things. It is an okay site, but its all a bit bright and garish - also the rigmarole of getting logged out and the LIST they show you of all your transactions is a bit of a pest. NW at least ask if you want to view it.
smile and first direct: like both. smile is a bit pink and white, don't like how you have to wait for SO's to be updated by the bank and don't like how bill payments don't leave your account until the end of the day. Like everything else. first direct - like how bill payments leave immediately, how you get a response to secure messages very quickly and don't need to send another one back asking the same question that you DIDN'T get an answer to the first time. Don't like how you can't delete bill payments or amend them once they are on the system though. Interest rate is not too good either on any of their products, but like the site. Like the text messaging from first direct - wish smile would introduce something like that and I'd really be delighted with them. So have to make do using both for the good bits

NatWest's online interface is excellent. Still need to call them a few times a year for various things, but that's usually my own fault! No longer visiting these forums.0

i really liked the facility that natwest used to have where you could do a plan of how much money was coming in and going out over a certain period. apparently they dropped it because people didn't use it enough. n'er mind.
i use natwest, A&L and halifax. A&L don't get you easily view details of people that you have set up to send money too, and so natwest wins my vote!:happyhear0 -
I use Nationwide, NatWest, First Direct, HSBC and Halifax and have no complaints really.
One thing I'd appreciate from Nationwide is the ability to schedule payments from my e-Savings account to my FlexAccount in the future, esp. when there's bills to pay!
Has anyone had any experience of Birmingham Midshires and/or Yorkshire Building society's Internet Banking?0 -
Of all the sites I've used (lost count)
Egg: Slow site at times, sometimes not working at all. EMM won't work on non-IE browsers.
Other sites are much the same as each other IME - none of them seems to stand out from the others. They all do what I need them to.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

Halifax ~ and its great for what I need. I tend to check my accounts daily (current and savings) like a modern day scrooge
