Ooooohhhh Tappers he is gorgeous!! I don't know much about Jack Russells but I thought they were white, is he a crossbreed? Thanks, you learn something new everyday! I've only ever seen the little white ones before, or parson's terriers, I know what those are, most people I see have big dogs, or if they are small they are "poochie dogs" Llahsa Apsos, etc. One of our neighbours growing up had a JRT so I suppose that's where I got the idea about their colour from. Hope he's happy and gives you loads of love (and keeps those darned cats at bay!) Afternoon,
Lazy day so far, had my Japanese friend who has a little girl to stay last night...the child screams most of the time....even if she sees the dog through the window, so was glad when they left an hour ago....that sound rotten of me I know but have never had to deal with screamers and find it very difficult, especially when Mother just laughs at her, don't think that she has ever been told not to do something and I think that 2 and 7 months is not too early! Sorry folks, rant over!
OH didn't eat very well yesterday so went off this morning and got himself some steak, now he won't be ready for dinner before 6 at the earliest, I just had homemade bread and jam for breakfast, so am starting to feel hunger pains now! Of course, if OH knew that we are having roast rabbit for dinner he would probably decide to have another piece of steak for dinner, as its not his favourite, but I love rabbit and have been looking forward to it all week. Going to do a mixed fruit crumble with the last of the raspberries, gooseberries and currants and top it with custard for pudding.
Csarina....have you tried soaking the gasket of the pressure cooker in a bicarb and water solution for a bit? Bicarb is usually good for smells, I find...shouldn't do any harm (?)
We are getting a courgette almost every day now, OH will eat them while they are small so am incorporating them into every dinner that I can....made a really nice sausage casserole with some in yesterday, mind you used a packet mix which I obviously bought in a weak moment, but was pleased with result, used lots of my 'tree onions' in it.....not sure what correct name is, was given them by a work colleague a few years ago, they grow a 'pod' of small onions on top of stalk, I find them very handy to just break off, smash a bit with a knife and throw into things.
Have noticed that on the Aldi offers this week here there are 250g of several spice mixes on offer for about €1.50...Indian, Mexican, Italian, Greek, French and something else. Not sure if offers in UK are the same as ours, worth checking maybe, especially as they will probably be 99p with you!
May not be here as often for next week as I will have my darling grand-daughters from to-morrow morning, so will be busy answering calls of 'Maimeo' at all hours of the day!
Hugs to all who are not feeling well for whatever reason, or down in the dumps, had one of those days yesterday myself, seem ok to-day. To those of you missing in action, please come back, you know who you are, if I name anyone I will surely forget somebody and then be in trouble!
Taplady....Louie is lovely, haven't seen a Jack Russell so nicely marked.

Hi all, nothing OS to report today as not long home from the barbie and getting a takeaway soon as I'm too rough to cook but just wanted to say I hope you are all having a lovley day. I had a fab day and night yesterday with some amazing friends and there was lots of homemade food too! My friends wee boy is the cutest, best behaved child I have ever met and I had such fun with him. Enjoy your days all and Doelani, I'm in with your recipes. I'm no amazing cook so everything I do is simple! X'The road to a friends house is never long'0
