Morning all!
DD has gone off to Diggerland with Cubs. DS1 is upstairs with DH playing on the X Box. The baby is watching Baby TV
1 wash load out, DW on & the kids bedding in the WM.
I feel quite tired today. All these early mornings with the baby are catching up with me!
DH can drive the polo! It's the power steering that's gone but he just took it for a drive & said he can drive it & we'll book it in to get repaired the week after next when he's off!
Lunch is the usual sarnies for them lot. I'll have egg & salad (am doing that diet some of you do...can't remember what it's called!)
DH has curry for diner. The children can have something out of the freezer. I'll have fish & veg.
Right, need to go & sweep the kitchen floor, swish bathroom & do the little bit of ironing. Oh & redo the kids beds. Hoover around. etc etc...!!! :rotfl:
(((hugs)))) to those who need.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all
Looks kinda miserable here but may brighten up...not gonna hold my breath.
Off to mums later for a roast dinner, cant wait, will be nice not to have to cook!
Been feeling really down about myself recently-my confidence seems to have deserted me and nothing seems to be going right -so decided to cheer myself up with a new haircut...now its done im not too sure about it.Hopefully thats just because its new and will take getting used to,plus i'll need to spend time styling it. I've always had long hair, almost to the elbows but now it sits on my shoulders!! Feels very short and strange.
Gonna lurk about for a while i think...been hoping into really old threads from years back...very interesting!!

:rotfl:Should we not be Sun 18th July ( it says June ).
Off to our niece Matilda's christening today, Did all housework yesterday, hoovered all upstairs, changed all beds, cleaned bathroom and shower cubicle.
Hoovered kids room and hallway, swept and mopped our back room and kitchen and also ironed uniforms for the last week at school.
Weather looks dull, but I'm sure our day will be what we make of it.
No need to feed anyone today as having a buffet at SIL and BIL all day.
Have a great day xMum to 3 gorgeous kids

Morning folks
Thanks for your kind messages a few days ago when I was feeling down about DS. He has been a lot more cheery. I'm just always so sorry if he has a slip back into despression as most of the time he's back to his usual self.
Made a bit pot of spicy pasta sauce last night -loads of chilli, both fresh and a dollop of that sambal stuff (mashed chillies), some veg that needed using, tomatoes and half a tin of haricot beans. I was really impressed by how much DH liked it as he prefers food with meat. However, he loves spice;) so I think that's the way to go - veg days but spicy.
Think DD might be back today - she and her OH have gone to Iona for a holiday. Never been but I think it would be wonderful.
Roast chicken for today - got a large one so hope to make it stretch for a few days. I love chicken curry with stringy bits of cooked chicken so will look forward to that at some point.
Fancy a lazy day reading my book but we will head off out to have a walk by the sea with the dogs. our younger one has had an upset tum this week after eating something not too healthy in the park but she's fine now and enjoys a paddle so that will be a treat for her.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Still no word how penpin is? (((hugs))) to those unwell, recovering their strength, feeling down or lonely. Sundays can be hard, so I'm thinking of anyone today who is finding it a struggle.

Hello everyone,
its finally stopped raining and brightened up but the forcast says rain for the next few days. We go to pontins in 8 days so hopefully the weather will improve as it rained each day when we went last year!
Popped into town today and got the boys colouring books and bucket and spades for holiday, got such a busy week that probably wont fit it in. I feel lousy had cough, bad chest, headaches and cold since wednesday, feel very run down and tired and the boys got cabin fever staying in yesterday. spent 20 mins queing outside WHsmith this morning to get the toy story 3 lego, the boys were really chuffed though so
I didnt mind - DS2 is having a nap holding onto buzz at the minute! Hes 3 tomorrow so still got to finish wrapping his presents.
OH had to buy sandwiches from Coop whilst I in town as his parent were visiting and they dont eat pre packed meat that we buy so wouldnt have that on sandwiches - so that was nearly £8 wasted!
Chicken in the oven for roast later - reall want to sleep but things to do, will lie down later.
take care everyone xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Arternoon.........(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Baking this morning, scones and two pastry cases for quiche, re-boiling the jam that did not set..........and getting lunch.
The pressure cooker that I burnt still smells especially the rubber gasket, I dare not try to cook anything in it in case it ruins it....any suggestions, I have boiled the pressure cooker with vinegar in and it smells not too bad now, its just the gasket, no difference.
OH pottering in the garden. I manged to get the sewing room cleared yesterday and the bed made up for DGS, it fits right across the room, just. I got it from freecycle and I think it may well be going back on there, it was from Ikea and makes up into a chair which is huge and not very comfortable to sit on. If we had a bigger shed I would put it in there.
Waiting for LL to come and see us, I want to get the old woodburner out. I have found a small stove on e aby from a firm with a good feedback for £200. I want him to come and see about getting the work done, once my visitors have been and before the next lot come. It will make a big difference to the room.
We are inundated with those tiny back flies, they are driving me potty, I keep feeling them crawling on my skin despite haviing smelly stuff on, think I will have to mix some oronage peel essential oil with some baby boil and slather myself with it, they do not like the smell of it, a bit like citronella.
All the veg done for supper, roast pork chops, roast potato's for OH just veg for me, parsnip, carrots cauliflower and the first of the green beans from the garden. We have cheesecake to finish with fresh strawberries from the garden on top.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Afternoon everyone
Late start today as really bad headache and did not get up until 11  dinner on and just waiting on spuds cooking, house is a tip but no point doing it until grandosn goes home at 6 pm lol
Can I ask opinions please on something?
As some will know I am pretty new to this cooking lark and seem to spend hours each day searching internet and MSE for " easy" recipes for beginners. I use facebook a lot and was thinking of maybe starting a facebook page for Easy OT Recipes . Nothing to fancy just things any idiot like me could cook lol
Now obviously my collection of recipes I have tried and can make are only about 10 at the minute and wondered if I do this would anyone be interested, do you use facebook? would you contribute to easy recipes and maybe post a picture of the finished dishes ? I get so frustrated sometimes in searching for stuff and I know mse has loads of recipes but sometimes searching for them can be frustrating as not always in same place lol

Afternoon.:D
Hope everyone is well, see some less well ken't faces on today, how nice!:D I was up and at 'em early this morning, fed up sleeping til nine, so forced myself up and into the shower at seven. Then got my hair dried and my slap on before the boys were up, they had cereal and HM croissants for brekkie, those were the last of my last batch from the freezer, but as I am dieting and they're too mugh temptation I will do scotch pancaked for a while, I think. Those are also low fat, so I can have some too!
We then went to the car boot sale which was busy but not as many sellers as usual. I am still on thehunt for a mirror and was delighted to find one with one of those horrid orange pine frames, which doesn't matter as I am planning on painting it white. It's about 32 inches diagonally and cost me £3!!!!! I am over the moon. Just to decide whether I want it up in the hall (original plan) or my bedroom. The place where the carboot is, is normally the fruit and veg and fish market, so I got some food too, 2 punnets of strawberries and 2 of raspberries for £2, I have checked and washed and dried them and only threw one manky raspberry out, so am delighted with that, and have meringues in the oven to go with them for dessert later. Yum! I also got 5 huge bakers, 3lb of carrots, leek, plums, a lettuce and a melon for £4. The boys spent their money on a Wii game and a PS2 game.
Afterwards went to Mr T for the dog's chicken and tea bags, and the to Mr A to reurn a pair of sandals which were uncomfortable.
So, lunch has been eaten - I had bean wraps (all HM) and the boys had crackers and cheese and chicken and grapes, and are now poilshing off a big KitKat between them.
Dinner tonight is stirfry with cashews for me, and pizza (half price in Mr T, I couldn't be bothered doing any and there's none in the freezer) for the boys, with a corn in the cob on the side, and meringues and raspberries and greek yoghurt for pudding.
Oooh my post is like a diary today,
Hope you are all having good days, {{{{hugs to those in need or MIA}}}}
