Just had a look at Orange's site and they charge an eye watering £288 for a 2 year insurance policy to cover a £499 iphone 4!
I work this out as them calculating that 60% of all iphone owners will loose or destroy their iphone during the course of their contract.

On the basis that I have had a mobile phone of some description now for about 20 years and not yet lost or destroyed one, I would rather "self insure" my iphone.
This means that after only 3 years I will have saved enough premiums to simply buy myself a NEW iphone should I break or loose the phone.

I know 02's is worse £15 a month as opposed to oranges 12 which is only for 4 month minimum.

However there is no limit on claims and 24 hr service but u get what u pay for i guess.

Iphones are very steal-able and they can get badly damaged if you drop them as i found.
